So the time has come to share with my fellow DA/DB enthusiasts. Been working on this build since 2015 nobody knows expect for a few friends, still in process of getting it going.I’ll give y’all the spec on the vehicle. It’s a 1993 Acura integra gsr,yes the all mighty db2.
It won’t be nothing near stock factory of a db2 once’s it’s done but in a sense it’s a db2 body. I bought this car as a shell minus Engine,Transmission,ECU.
Here are are two pic for now.

So on to the motor, it will be from my wreck 1998 db8 integra. It’s a complete turn over swap or it should of been but I decided to add on parts to the motor. Then that’s where things started to slow down. It’s the basic I/H/E. Basically everything I can without splitting the head open. There is a guy in japan with a db2 and he is running electric power steering. It was not done by himself but he did tag the person that did it for him if anybody has any questions. I figure it probably would be a hassle. So i decided to use a US spec type r crank pulley for my motor. It doesn’t have the v-belt like the DA pulley so I had to use the DC belt and recrimp the DC tip onto my db2 hose. Now I can run a DC power steering pump. Also running a 1320 slim billet upper bracket for the pump. Since that’s out way I’ll have to tackle on some other things in the weeks coming. It’s too hot right now to be working in the garage. Last I check it was 116 degree yesterday.
116 degrees lol I thought I was struggling at 105. I feel you though. I cant wait to see what the power steering setup looks like! And are you doing AC?
No AC, I stripped all of that under the dash. I don’t plan on driving to much during the summer heat. I do plan on driving it during the winter. I kept the wipers just in case if I ever fell victim to rain.
Worked on the db2 today just a little bit, I install some bushing from Energy suspension for the shifter. I kept my DA shifter but used the bottom stabilizer bar from my old db8 integra. I like how it has the added weight. I really like the smooth weighted down feeling when shifting. Also I’m using the dual bend shifter from the db8 with a skunk2 shift knob i got from big kev. It’s all just a personal preference. Put together the dc2 power steering pump and notice the hose that connects to the pump from the reservoir is a little short. I’ll have to get a longer length hose from for auto-zone or a hose shop. I’m using the hydro conversion from hush performance. I gotta said the install for me was kind of hard. A lot of nut dropping and yelling lol. But it’s on. For some reason I can’t upload any pictures.
