Jacking points in front

Hey guys…

Where are the jacking points in the front of the car… so I can jack the whole front end up.

thanks

If you have a helms, it is in there.

I usually jack mine up on the crossmember.

you really should be using jack stands on the sides right next to the mudgaurds. better safe than sorry ya know.

Front jacking point is where the center beam and front crossmember are bolted together.

there are two metal thingys that stick out underneath the front of the car, each kinda “inline” with the bumper lenses, but closer together… and they’re kinda small… know wut im sayin? hm… 'guess not, better go work on my vocabulary… well, anywho, anything metal is A OKAY !

even the oil pan? :bored:

umm nopenot the oil pan u might crush it. its kind of commen sense to see where the points are. it should be the chassis parts. hard metal thats thick. usually u’ll see another metal piece over it. if u have a g2 (just making sure). the one if front is right in the middle right behind the bumper flap thing. cant describe it. when u look under from the side theres 2 points. one in front and one in back. u’ll see the side with a little metal sticking out. i’m pretty sure u can tell a difference when u look down there. if u jackfrom somewhere else u might damage something or dent something in. i learned the hard way cause to cheap to get saftey jacks so i used ramps for it so i needed more room aand i jacked it up from near middle side and it dented in a little. the rear is the tow hook.

:louie55:

it was a joke…

but telling someone who obvioulsy does not know where to jack up thier vehicle from by telling them “anything metal is a okay” is very sad, and to a point dangerous, to see on here.

IMO.

if you have a gs-r, the jacking point is in the middle of the front subframe (x member), with no middle connecting piece between the rear and front subframes

And on a side note, use jack stands to hold the car up and not the jack itself, sure people do it all the time cuz they’re too lazy to set it up, but nobody wants to read your post tomorrow about how you crushed your skull, leg, arm, whatever, after jacking you car up.

i cant afford jackstands… i use rocks… :bored:
