Jasper DA9 build thread. The money pit!

well I tried to go back and group 2 posts into one and it didn’t work now I don’t know how to delete this specific post right here lol

Yeah that is my dilemma, I have absolutely no clue. I was thinking about just running a block off there but I have never ran without an overflow so I am not quite sure how that will work out. This is all a huge learning experience for me.
Like for example, where the hell am I gonna mount my throttle cable? lol

Thanks! I appreciate it. I’ve been dragging my feet so long on getting it done but I guess at this time of the year who cares right? lol.

How much did those two pieces cost if you don’t mind me asking? I keep going back and forth on how I’m going to run my radiator setup. I’ve heard some negative reviews about allinfab (about delivering parts that were purchased, never quality of parts) everything was smooth for you though?

Hmm, I wonder if the height of the overflow tank in relation to the fill hole matters for functionality or not. If not, you could (in theory) snake a hose down behind the motor and mount the tank somewhere it could be accessed from the bottom. It would be a pain in the ass to check/fill but it would be out of sight and I personally would prefer to have the overflow than run without one. Just an idea. I got nothing for the throttle cable dillemna though. You’ll need a custom bracket but mounting locations look slim on that manifold.

I believe they run $200 for both pieces. Here is the deal with All in Fab… if you are in any sort of hurry to get your parts do not order from them. Everything negative you have heard was things that went on years ago, Derek got out of the business for a while to take some time and think about his mistakes (and has been man enough to admit them on social media) and opened up shop again in 2014. As you can see I have an intake, intake manifold, water neck and tstat housing, all ordered in 2014 and received in 2014. The wait time is a bit long, but you will get your stuff. Derek is just one guy and has a tremendous workload. Everything there is hand made by him. So if you have the patience to wait a bit and not ask for updates every few days you will be fine. Everything went smooth for me. I’d recommend him to anyone who has the patience. I can help you get in contact with him if you’d like.

Also, what are the benefits of running an overflow?

I love the build!

Does All-In Fab have a website where I can see his products?

He does not have an official website ATM. You can view everything on his Facebook his name on there is Derek Welder, he also uses Instagram to showcase a lot of it @dimestack_derek

With that set up how would you bleed the coolant system without the bleeder screw at the front anymore? Just run it for a while with the cap off?

Yeah that’s what I am going to try. The previous owner had a similar set up so I’ll ask him what he did.

Sorry still no major updates. I Do have a picture of the Nardi wheel I purchased, and something else. Seems I’m becoming a bit of a wheel whore lol. But hey you can never have too many sets right??

wow

so baller!! nice build!:excite:

Excited to see those Tracers on the G2! Coming along nicely :corn:

Sweet, post some pics after the wheel install.

Anyone wanna buy this and finish it? Lol
