Hell yeah Thanks man! You’ll hear it in my garage too.
all the music can be downloaded for free at me and my bros website www.deckbros.com
I’ll keep and eye on the bushings. I’ve heard about the rubber cracking but I haven’t seen anything yet, but I also have the car garaged most of the time.
I’m heading to the garage on a half day from work tomorrow to run the car on my Hondata, install 02, plug in the 3 bar map and mount the wheels. This will be my last day at the garage before the tuning date. I’ll take some pics!
Awesome build man
How are the brakes? Any problems with the way you ran the lines?
I’m just wondering cause I am about to start doing my brake line tuck.
Btw where is your brother’s build thread?

Thank you. So far I have had no issues with the lines and flaring brake lines is really pretty simple once you get the hang of it. Below is a link to my bro’s thread. We are tuning on the same day:
Tuning day was both good and bad. The good is that we are about 85% done with the tuning. The motor runs strong and we have a base tune with the wastegate, which is around 4psi. The break in went fine and seems to be a healthy motor. The best part is that I can finally drive the car again. The car drives great!
The Bad:
I wasted some of the morning dealing with a vacuum leak. At the end of the dyno session my wiring for my 10 OHM resistors were shorting out right before we got to the fun stuff. We used a box for the repair so I could keep going but we simply ran out of time. I am going to install a resistor box, tidy up some vacuum lines, road test it some more then I’ll be back in probably the next 3 weeks so that we can turn the boost up with no issues. We decided on around 13psi. I’ll get some pics up later. I also cleaned up in the garage a bit now that the project is finally up and running.
So what were the numbers you guys ended the day with? Glad to hear the motor is in good condition! At least you know where your problems lie now and you can take some corrective measures. Keep it up brotha!

Sadly my computer craped out on me, but ive been jaming the samples on my phone whenever possible
Good to hear the tuning went mostly acording to plan, problems on the dyno always suck. we had a couple pop up on us last night at revolutions while they were trying to tune project Hell-lude. lucky for us they were able to put a bandaid on them for us to finish the tune. Ill tell you now, watching a guy use a trigger switch to activate Vtec is the funnist shit youll ever see LOL

Good luck on getting the boost turned up [/QUOTE]
Thanks all. We didn’t do any pulls for HP numbers. The good news is that I already fixed my issue. I wired in the new resistor box today and everything works great. I’m gonna go through some more minor adjustments this weekend and I’ll be more than ready to head back in.
Okay So I have been driving the car and trying to test it as much as possible. Seems like everything is functioning normally. I am rechecking the valves today, calibrating the TPS and a few other things as well to prep. My appointment to finish will be this weds. Hopefully with no issues I can complete the tuning:cross:
Okay so after a long hiatus. I have some updates!:whew:
As with any build things never go as expected. We had a major problem with the wastegate opening during the dyno pulls and it cost me some power, although the tuning was still completed. I came to find out later that the I did not have the correct preload on the IWG and it was flying open about half way through the powerband…I still made 180whp and 200 ftlbs at that. Immediately after the tune I spent over two weeks troubleshooting a boost cut out issue. Whenever the car was going into boost it would cut out the engine like a rev limiter. I learned a hell of a lot during this process and finally got it sorted out 2 days ago. The last two things I did was replace the plugs with NGK 8 range @ .025 gap and cleaned out my fuel filter which did actually have a heck of a lot of debri in it. Throughout the process I also replaced the entire ignition system, so between that and fixing the WG issue I most likely picked up some power as well. It runs great now and @ 12.5 psi it’s a beast!
This turbo has had a small leak on the exhaust for a while now. It doesn’t have any play and just needs a simple rebuild of the seals. However, I wanted to use it to get the car tuned and get everything tested in the coming months… So this thread isn’t over yet by any means
Once this winter comes I will be switching to a GT2860RS and swapping out the down pipe and manifold etc…I’ll make sure to keep the updates coming. For now it’s time to work out some little things and tweak the car. For one my passenger window fuse keeps blowing…
Pics up soon. I’ll also get up some video of the dyno runs.
Switch up to the GT2860RS sounds like a fun ass set up! Virtually no turbo lag from this turbo at all! I really need that turbo. I definitly want to know how the “Disco Potato” will do on an LS motor! Keep us posted.
