JDM 1 Piece Headlights? Hard to install?

I was just wondering what is the process of installing JDM 1 Piece Headlights? Is it a long job or just a basick swap out? Any re-wiring needed?

did you try a :search:?

I believe there’s actually a Teg Tip on installing them.

Oops my bad.

Ok does not sound hard but also what type of bulbs does the JDM lights take? Can I just use the current ones in my car now and swap them over or would I need new ones? I have sylvania 9700ST in now

you need H4h Bulbs…

H4H Bulbs. The lights should come with bulbs so wouldnt wouldn’t have to buy new ones.

But if u wanna go aftermarket there are numerous members on this board selling aftermarket h4h bulbs as we speak

I am looking at a used set, no blbs, for 120 CDN and was wodering how much lights would cost total for these bulbs.

Also can I get a list of what the:
Headlight bulbs are: Believe H4H
Foglamp Bulbs:?
markerlights: Stock?

Headlamp bulbs are H4H. They’re not easily available in North America, and usually run you about $60-80 for a set of 2. Check eBay; I’ve had a set of Polarg H4H 4000K color temp in my car for over 2 years now and they’re still working great, but I carry a set of PIAA H4H 4000K’s with me in case one burns out. Even when you can find a stock white H4H bulb, they’re usually about 25 or 30 bucks, and I’ve only been able to find them online once. If you walk in to your local AutoZone and try to find one they’ll think you mean an H4 bulb (which is similar, but doesn’t fit).

Side markers use 194 (stock bulb and socket) - just remember the JDM lamps only have a hole for 1 side marker instead of 2. I personally recommend using the side marker that flashes with your turn signal and taping over the bulb hole in the other socket.

Fog lamps use H3-35’s - which are a bitch to find. I’m using easily obtainable regular H3’s instead (which are 55 watts) with no problems.

…or you could hollar at me for a set of H4H bulbs.

Hmm well this is kinda somewhat pushing me away from getting 1 piece headlights then LOL!

Yea kneeon I was thinking on gettin those, but just the fact that the foglamps are hard to get throws me off. Hate that lol.

Yea kneeon I was thinking on gettin those how much for G2IC member discounted set

stateofbean: I did a search on e-bay.com and nothing showed for h4h :frowning: and ok yea I will investigate the sidemarkers, as for the fog lamps no wire problems with the extra 20w. bulbs? SO I could use bulbs like these?: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2469073380

Hmm by the looks of things I should hold out and see if this other guy has a complete set for 200cnd instead of geting the $120 one with no lights, may be cheaper, also the guy said i needed the G2IC teg tip of renewing one piece headlights…? Thanks for the info anyhow!

Also are these style headlights pron to having there outside protective coating to wear off causing poor visibility? I know mose of the newer cars have this problem that they will loose the outer protective film and makes the plastic (atleast i think its plastic) fog up
