JDM 1-piece no light issue

Hey guys, firstly yes I’ve searched extensivly but I havent found anyone with exactly this problem. I bought 1-pieces but they didnt come with ANY bulbs or main wiring harneses. Just the JDM foglight wiring inside the light casing. That I’m sure I can figure out how to wire but…What do I do without any headlight wiring or bulbs?

At this point I am strongly considering modifying the housing to just accept my USDM 9004 headlight bulb. Has anyone else done this? Foresee any problems? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

y don’t u just buy some h4h lights and just make your own wire harness for the lights? cuz i don’t think you’ll be able to modify your 9004 lights in the housing, maybe some h4’s but not 9004 as there are way way way different then the h4h bulbs…

Thanks for the reply. I was actually more interested in stepping up to a 9007 bulb so that my headlights actually had light output instead of the “candle in the wind” bullshit that comes out of these stock headlights. From what I read the H4H’s are comparable to 9004’s in light output. In other words useless.

I’ve seen websites saying that 9006’s can fit without too much modding…I should check to see if they are any birghter but yeah, would ideally like to use 9007’s.

Thanks for looking, Anyone seen any of this done before?

H4H/H4 puts out 1000 lumens

9004 puts out 700 lumens

9007 puts out 1000 lumens

9006 puts out 1000 lumens

H4H is not comparable to 9004.

9006/9007/H4H/H4 all put out the same lumens (light output). Putting anything other than H4H is pointless.

Dude…you rock

Thanks very much. I was out for dinner and hadn’t had time to look out the outputs for the different lights but you hit the nail right on the head.

Considering I DO NOT have any sockets besides the stock ones on my car for the 9004’s, Stealth how do you suggest I “make my own harness”?

Im looking around G2IC and I see lots on 9004-9007 conversion. And Converting H4H’s to H4’s…But nothing converting 9004’s to H4’s.
Basically I am guessing I should just find some sockets at a wreckers and splice them into my existing wiring?

I keep looking in the meantime to see what other people have done.

Thanks again.

You will need this:

and this:

or this:

Might want to search on people who have used the jumper harness. I believe I read that the harness is wired up incorrectly.

Thanks SpikeyMike for the help thusfar but I’m thinking Im gonna make them myself. i have found some decent write-ups out there (Though not specfically for the integra) so i think Im gonna grab all the parts and give it a shot. It wouldnt be a bad thing for me to know a little more about my headlight wiring anyway.

If anyone knows of a surefire diagram to build a wiring harness for the H4’s from my current setup feel free to link me. Otherwise i will use the info I found so far and piece it together.

Thanks all…

Now back to polishing these &*$#% lights.

sorry for hijacking your thread but I wanted to confirm your problem because I might have the same one. If so, I’ll be trying to order the replacement bulbs from Password JDM if they just fit right in because Im also missing the JDM bulb harness.

So are your headlights missing the wired socket surrounded by the rubber gasket? Mine are missing and Im hoping that ordering JDM replacement bulbs will fit without the harness (I’ll just wire them using the wiring diagram on here).

You seem to have wires coming out of your rubber thingys…i dont. Is there any chance you can take a pic of what it looks like on yours inderneath the rubber? Either way we pretty much have the same problem, no JDM sockets or bulbs.
like SpikeyMike said you can buy bulb sockets and h4h bulbs from password. Connect the wires from your exsiting 9004’s to the h4h sockets and you should be good to go. The tegtip way of converting to H4’s is there if you feel like you want more bulb choices or already have H4’s and wanna make them fit.

I will definately add pics of this when I finish with it, and that wont be for a little while.

Here’s what mine look like.[/IMG]

When I do this swap I am pobably going to install relays as well, cuz i hear people burining up the wiring in thier harnesses, and I dont wanna.

Hope it helps…wish I knew more :S

well the pic i posted is not my headlights…I just posted it as an example. It seems we do have the same problem then. I definately wanna know how it turns out for you.

DeAcevedo45 … are those example pics of the headlights currently listed on ebay? lol… i almost bought those tonight but i found a cheaper set on G2IC… lol thats awesome… small world…

lol yeah

I’d like to know how you found a set at all :stuck_out_tongue: Let alone on G2IC. i had to ship mine in from Eastern canada and although I only paid 167 plus shipping I’ve had to do a massive restore. They were a mess. Big crack in the bottom of the driver side lens, the other one was taken apart badly and re-glued badly. Silicone all over them, no fog covers and no wiring harnes, badly yeallowed and clear-coat peeling.

They are turning out really nice though, but they will never be able to be mint. Only 9 out of 10 when Im done.

those wire/plug set is the same as a civic. Go to a junk yard and cut off a few. Simple. Done.!

Thanks DaTegLover, that I am definately going to look into. Keep ya posted!

hey bro… i’ve got a set of raybrig H4H bulbs i could sell ya for 50 shipped… lmk if your interested… they are selling for 70 on password jdm right now…

Thanks man. But I F**%$ed up one of my headlights and now I dont need bulbs…that was one way to solve the problem
