ok here’s the deal, I’ve seen all different hp and tourque ratings for the JDM B20B on here. I am wondering what the actual ratings are and where you get the information on them. Because at the site that i will probably buy it from it says they have 146 hp, but i’ve seen people say on here 161 hp.

I’ve been seeing this question asked a lot lately. Let me try to clear it up. The jdm b20b and usdm b20z both have a rating of 146hp and 133ft-lbs from the factory at the flywheel. The number of 16Xhp(whatever it was) is what brekekex estimated the actual flywheel hp was for his b20 engine when he dynoed it and got 14Xhp at the wheels. That’s not to say that all b20’s have 160hp at the flywheel but it does make it pretty clear that honda underated the hp figures for their b20’s at least a little bit. If that doesn’t make it clear enough maybe brekekex can clear it up. HTH
that helps a lot whiteyg2rs, i was just getting confused with all the different numbers. So i guess even honda underestimates the B20’s capability’s. I’ll probably definately go with the JDM B20B, oh by the way daver, im gonna buy it from www.jspecjdm.net
