does anybody know if i can change the mph from the us cluster into the jdm km cluster? i just bought a jdm cluster with orange needles. i have a spare us cluster sitting here and i was thinking about swapping it out but then i would be left with all orange needles except the mph gauge. does anybody know how i can take the needle apart or can i use a really good orange marker to make it orange or if you have any better suggestions. please do lmk your opinions. thanks in advance.
as far as I know all of the VSS’s are the same, meaning yes, I have a canadian speedo, put MPH glow gauges in my car… didn’t have to tune anything for it to work properlly… (km/h is smaller than MPH so I know)
thanks for the reply. i guess what i really wanted to ask was…is there a way to take the needles apart and stick it onto the US cluster?
everywhere I’ve read says not to touch the speedo one… but the gauge plates come right out, might be easier and safer to just do that
yea u can take the plate off and swap it with the mph 1
i did it many times no problems
You can pull off the tach and speedo needles with out breaking them. The gas and temp guages will break if you try to remove the needles!!! Practice removing the needle from your USDM speedo first. After you have the needle removed from the JDM speedo just swap the guage faces and replace the needle. Make sure you put a piece of tape on the guage face where the needle is so you install the needle in the correct position.
