JDM conversion

i have a 91 gs 2 door that i want to convert to the jdm integra ESi. what does this conversion entail?? i know that the jdm cars werent much different from ours, but besides the folding mirrors, the one piece headlights, and the vaious amber lights on the car, what is different?? did the 91 ESi have the stock acura gs wheels?? any special badging?? if so, where can i gat all the stuff i need. pics of the ESi would be helpful. help me out, my new liscence plate is gonna say TRBO ESI

thanks
Brett

Do some searching and you should turn up some threads on the differences in jdm cars. There were some pretty extensive threads on it. It might work out to be cheaper to just find an esi and import it, if you’re trying to make a good copy.

:search:

i did do a search and i didnt find much on specific to the ESi but from searching the net i only raised more questions, I came upon Honda’s japanese history site (official site) it was in Japanese so i could not read it, but from what i could pick out from the pictres and the few English words, according to their site the ESi was only avaliable in 4 door and did not become a trim level until 93 in Japan…but then i came across a personal site of a guy who has his 91 4-door ESi on his site its right hand drive, and the car isnt in great shape, so it is definatly not a USDM integra that he totally converted because i would imagine he would make it look slightly better, i will try a search again on here.

try searching for “jdm” or “different jdm” etc, none of the thread were specific for the esi. Use altavista’s translator if you need to read some japanese, it’s pretty handy.
