JDM DA6 Cluster

if i install this, will da RPM and mileage etc be accurate?

any comments or feedback Please.

RPM should be accurate but the mileage will be what it is on the new jdm cluster and plus its in klm. If you are to change out your cluster and want to keep track of miles then write down how many you have on your original cluster and how many are on the new one and then just calculate it out when later when you want to figure how many miles you have put on your car.

ok ok, how many klm is in a mile?

one kilometer is 0.62 miles. Here is a conversion site for you.

After i posted i noticed that another member on here baught that cluster already but now you know for the future if you do buy a Da6 cluster.

thx man!

any of u guys know of a mod to make the jdm speedo guage to work as mph instead of km like the jdm 180sx/240sx version?

There could be a chance you could change out your old speedo part that shows the speed and put it into the jdm one and then you would keep your old milage and have mph. I have never taken one apart but i have heard it done on other models. Just an idea but still not sure if its possible.

yes its possible the speedo is held in with 4 screws thats all you have to do to remove it. I had a da6 cluster for awhile and then i did the same thing you are talking about and switced back to the USDM speedo.

+1 to changing out the speedo. Also remember there are differences in the years 90 - 93. The marks in the 90 and I think 91 are blockier than the marks in the 92-93. If you do buy a JDM cluster, make sure the markings are the same.

what do mean by blockier??

dam i already ordered it, it should come in tomorrow… i just asked da seller and ill get an answer tomorrow anyways. so fuk, i hope its a 90-91 if not…

how would i get it to fit?? (just in case)

i don’t think those are for our gearbox, since our speedo cable don’t screw into the transmission but plugs… :werd:… but it did say honda is compatible…

yo now i gotta problem…i just installed these bad boys and i plugged in 2 clips…and i turn on the lights. and they dont light up…

2nd problem is i cant seem to fit dat black stick (mileage dildo) into the gauge…

can someone please give me some advise!!

Make sure all the plugs are connected to the back of the cluster.
Also, plug in all the switches, like the dimmer and and fog switch.

As for getting the speedo cable connected to the back of the cluster:
Pop the hood.
Find where the speedo cable is connected to the speed sensor.
There is a little clip that holds the cable into the speed sensor, remove it.
Mark the cable at firewall so you know how much to pull the cable back out.
Back inside of the car, grab the speedo cable and pull it inside the car about 3-4 inches.
Now it should be easy to connect the cable to the back of the cluster.
Once you have everything connected, go back under the hood and pull the cable back in to the engine compartment. You’ll know when to stop when you see the mark you made earlier. Connect the cable back to the speed sensor, and secure with the little clip.
Good luck.

hell yeah, thanks alot!

if your going to change the speedo…then whats the point of buying a JDM cluster?..

^^^that looks like a 92-93 cluster…another way to tell is the RPM’s on a 90-91 only mark every 500 rpm’s…that one marks every 250 rpm’s…

Its easier to find an 8k jdm tach. But most don’t want a kmh speedo.
