ok heres my problem… i installed my jdm 1 pieces before and the passenger side foglight doesnt come on only when i use the highbeam but when i do that the headlight turns off so i switched around the red wiring on the headlight and now only one foglight still comes on but when i use the highbeam everything works. im really lost at this point so if anyone can help or even better if anyone from my area that can come help me fix the problem i’ll buy you lunch
p.s. my car is stripped right now so you would have to come to my house
The output from the fog light relay is red/black, both the left and right side fog light leads are red/black, after the connector both stock fog light leads are red/blue
The left high beam is a red/green and the right is a red/blue
The left low beam is a red/yellow and the right is a red/white
The front left and right park lights are also red/black.:whisper: 94
right now that is exactly how i have them connected and it still doesnt work. i extended the foglight wires because they were too short. do you think that would cause a problem? i used regular 18g wiring from kragen
Extending the leads will not keep a light from working.
If one fog light comes on when you turn on the fog light switch it means that everything from the fog light fuse and left low beam fuse, [if still wired stock] to the output of the fog light relay is all working properly, the output from the relay is a single red/black lead, someplace between the relay and the stock fog light plugs that single wire is "Y"ed into the left and right fog light leads, and you say you had to extend them because they were too short.
Start by swapping fog light bulbs, if bulbs good check your connection of the extension, if you have a multimeter or test light, check and see if there is power on the lead, if there is check the ground and the bulb holder itself. 94
when you say right, do you mean the driver side? basically the way i have it wired up is black with black, red/yellow with red/black, and red/green with red/white. i am only having a problem with the passenger side so does this sound right?
Left side right side is always the left and right side of carwhen sitting in car, most of the time that means left is drivers and right is passengers, however that is not the case with right hand drive.:whisper:
Right/pass. side
The high beam is a red/blue.
The low beam is red/white.
The fog light is red/black.
The side marker is green/red.
The turn signal is green/yellow.
The park light is red/black.
The above are the USDM/CDM colors, I do not know what the JDM one piece light wire colors are, and don’t get the fog and park light wires mixed up, [both are red/black].:stare: 94
yea it looks like i wired the wires up right then. i think i really just need to see someones wiring on there jdm light to double check again. anyone out there willing to show me there setup?
