I was wondering if anyone has a pic(s) of a jdm front bumper for the 2g. I was also wondering knows where I could get ahold of one for a fair price.

they look exactly the same as the usdm bumpers. The only differences:
-the 89-91 jdm bumpers had amber bumper lenses
-some of the jdm bumpers have a small antenna-like thing that sticks up and lights up green…this is to help aid you parking in tight spots
-the jdm bumper supports are much lighter than the usdm ones (these will fit w/ your usdm bumper…because like i said, they are the same as the jdm ones)
yeaaaa.
i never hooked up the liscence plate light though, because i dont even have a liscence on the front.

i was lookin at jdmshit.com a few days ago, and noticed that they had some JDM DA front bumpers. is there any difference between these and the US/Canadian ones? they didnt look like they were too different…
any input would be great!

the bumper itself isn’t much different. some have that antenna looking device that nobody seems to know what it’s for…
what everyone wants is the bumper support, the part behind the bumper, which is about 25 lbs. lighter than usdm support(no usdot crash regulations in japan)
that “antenna” device is called a pole. its used for measuring distance when parking. yet another JDM item.
yeah, i thought i read somewhere about it being a “curb-feeler” but i’ve also heard some pretty strange guesses as to what it is…
i saw some curb feelers on this caddi that came into the tire shop i work at. he had 4 lengths of steel cable about a foot long with caps on the ends on all four corners. goofy. its the only set ive ever seen.

The jdm pole on the tegs is a single motorized pole that is similar to an antenna, which is ONLY seen when using it for parking.
that pole is for you to connect the radio antenna. so you can shave your rear antenne.

wtf are you guys talking about?
All it is is a pole that sticks up from the corner of the bumper. It doesn’t do anything except help you judeg where you car ends so you can park it better.
