I got a set of used one pieces that were suppose to come with all the wiring and bulbs. It has all the bulbs and wiring for it except for the corner bulbs. Am I just suppose to use my stock corner light bulbs in my one pieces or are there some wiring and bulbs they forgot to add with my lights?? Let me know guys.
come on, anybody???
Ive searched nothing really helpful came up. But I did see some threads were it was talking about wiring up the corner lights so I assume I’am missing some lights and wiring harnesses for my one pieces. Can anyone confirm this?? When you installed your one pieces did you use your stock corner lights or did they come with different corner light bulbs and harnesses??
yes you use the stock corner harness, there should be two one stays on wiht the lights th eother stays on with the lights and blinks. the corners are the same bulb/harness as usdm. hope that helps you bro.
So there are 2 bulbs in the corner light and I only use one of them??? I think one is for the turn single and one is for the parking lights, right?? Is so, does that mean I can only have a turn single or parking light there, not both?? How do you properly wire up the corner lights so they come on when you turn your parking lights on and it also flashes when you use the turn single. Or can you even?? Let me know, I want to install my one pieces but this is confusing.
you should have two connectors for your corner that are already there. in japan they have sidemarkers that stay on and flash. both connectors stay on, one does both. both run when in the parking position and the headlight position.
if anything i splitted it… you know how the corner has two light connectors? well i put the blinking parking light one there, and i rewired the other connector to my bumper lense so that the bumper lense light stays out… it doesn’t blink anymore for parking, turning; but that’s fine… look.
looks nice i like the bumper lights on with the headlights, i like mine too blink but that does look nice
So its either one bulb or the other?? No way of combining the wires so one bulb could do both functions?? Like can I have a bulb that stays on with the running lights AND blinks with the turn signal?? If not, I think I’ll just put the running light bulb in there and ditch the blinking turn signal. Then I’ll get some JDM side markers for my turn signals.
Also, is there any problem with me ditching the connectors on the one pieces and just wiring everything up with female quick connects?? The connects on the headlights and foglights are waaaay to short and wont be able to be soldered. I pulled the wires out of the connects and realized they are just female quick connects inside. So is there any reason I shouldnt just ditch the connectors and solder some extension wires to some new female quick connects and just attatch them to there proper spot on the headlight and foglight?? Any problems with doing it like this??
well basically i did have to connect wires… i didn’t want three wires connected to the blinking light that was gonna be on the corner light… because what i did, was i took the blinker from the headlight, then i connected taht with my sidemarker, and i didn’t want to add another wire connected to that to the bumper because for some reason i thought it was short it out, so i just played it safe and took the unblinking light from the corner light, and connected it to the bumper so that the bumper light would just stay on…
oh thanks for the comment whiteac2k4
theres only one turn signal on the one pieces the other is for the sidemarker.
pretty much anyone who gets one pieces will put the blinker light in and just tie away the other one, unless u are good with wiring and know how to change it
yep
yeah, but that’s kinda hard if you don’t know what you’re doing or you forget which wires are what while your doing what you’re doing…
