I’ve finally gotten all the stuff together for a retrofit. I figured I might as well snap a few pictures and show my progress. The part I’m a litte worried about is sanding down the flutes in the lens and I want a good cut off so they have to go.
Here it begins.
After some slight prying w/ an assortment of screwdrivers. I would definetly recommend anyone trying this to attempt to use the screwdrivers as little as possible. Once the plastic is hot it easily gets distorted when prying. I did most of the seperating with my hands alone to prevent this.
And this is what is going into the headlight.
I haven’t decided on any shrouds just yet so for now this is all.
Parts used:
JDM one piece headlights
TSX clear lens projectors
As long as the headlights are open, should I remove the glare gaurds on the foglights? I know a lot of people don’t like the “nipple” it makes but I’m not sure if it’ll cause too much discomfort for other cars coming my way.
I think you mean for me to paint the reflective part that normally spreads the halogen lighting out. Even though it will improve the lighting w/ the retrofit I don’t really like how it looks.
By removing the glare guard I meant this part.
