Pictures as promised… i love these moldings
Yeah I got a bw kit with the side moldings and they look really good, sorry no pics though.
i was thinking of purchasing them, how hard are they to install, like can u just rip the old ones off or what and the new ones snap in?
thanks
I bought mine off ebay. The hard part is removing the old moldings and that is not too hard. You will have to take off the interior part of your door to get access to the clips holding the old moldings on. For the back molding, the backseat interior clips out if you pull on it after undoing where the interior wraps around where the door shuts. The front little molding can be gotten if you pull in inner wheelwell out and then you can get some pliers to get to the clips for that small piece. If you need more details let me know. You can do a search - someone posted good directions on removing the interior of the door.
Just take your time, no need for any force or ripping to get the old moldings off, you just have to get at the clips holding them on from the inside.
I want to hump your car.
does anyone have a pic of a RED DA with JDM side mouldings?
paint matched but you get the idea. I love the look, but I dont think they are going back on this car at least when its fixed.
darin_d would you like to sell the moldings if you get rid of them
Hey man, your up in denver? Im a f… native Coloradin. If I dont need them Ill definately give you dibs if I decide to go ahead and shave.
yeah they are worth it especially if you are planning on painting your whole car
the ones i got off from ebay were 165 shipped with all the clips etc, but were narrower than my stock ones and so strips under the moldings were left to touch up.
i recommend that you make sure to sand lightly then prime and paint cause the idiots that did mine just painted them and the rubbery material they are made of absorbed in parts and looked like :fucksuvs:
well good luck
