JDM tail lights

I searched but I’m still not clear on what the difference is.

I know the JDM tail lights don’t have reflectors on the sides and that’s pretty much the only difference, but are you able to see tell the difference just looking at it from the outside (like while it’s on the car)? Or do you take the bulbs out and look inside to see if the reflectors are gone?

Anyone have pics of both USDM and JDM tails side by side?

You can see the difference when light hits the tail lights… Reflectors have a tendency to reflect light.
