Hey whats up guys, im new here but you have to check out my new front lip, it is made by JDP engineering and is for the 92-93 front bumper. It fits awesome and looks great, I couldnt think of any people better to share it with. They also just came out with the 90-91 front lip which also looks great, check out some pics of my car, carbon hood, fenders and front lip
CF Fenders? I’m not sure what you meant by “check out my fenders”, very nice car. I plan on painting my POS black next week.
How is the fitment on the lip? Any drilling required or just removed the old lip and replace?
You need to drill your own holes, and install
thanks for the complement, yeah you do have to drill the holes but heres my method, lay the stock lip over the cf one and with a white out pen or something that shows up on cf draw a dot to mark it and drill the holes. After that i test fitted it and all of them lined up but the corners,so i drilled them out bigger and used large washers on them. But it fits awesome i couldnt beleive it myself but it is definatly worth the 30 minutes of work for it. Ihave a closer shot of the lip and yes my fenders are carbon fiber too
Hey i have that same lip…but I love how it looks on black . Keep up the good work, Late
Your car is so damn clean man!
damnit, i want ur rims! lol, yeah car is clean, i dunno about the CF fenders though…
thanks guys for the support, i got the fenders to be different, in my area nobody has them but me and i love it same with my rims. My car just started to look good i got into an accident like 2 years ago and lost the front end, at the time i could only afford the jdm 1 pieces and the rest was primer. then i got some money together over the winter and bought the hood fenders and 92-93 front bumper and the lip. Hey what do you guys think about the bumper lenses, i like the stocks ones but the all amber ones are hot, not much for clear ones though
Did you fold your license plate or something?
Car looks nice, how do the CF fenders fit, and how much lighter than stock are they?
yeah i way i folded the tag was the top, fold it 90 degrees and bolt it to the bumper from underneath so when you bend it that other 90 degrees it hides the bolts and its still legal, my law says it has to be on the front and has to be legible. The carbon fiber fenders are lighter than stock but not much, the factory sheet metal is pretty light since there so thin. They fit awesome the only place i had a problem is the drivers side fender up by the corner of the hood, the fender rubbed the hood so i filed it down then used fine grit sandpaper to smooth it out, but you cant tell at all lines up perfectly now.
I called them up and they were very nice and helpful. The cost I got was $239 plus shipping and handling. I cant wait till it arrives…
hell yeah man, thats what i got it for, its a great deal and they were very helpful and honest, does anybody know if sunday is when there is going to be a meet at sandy point state park in maryland, definatly have to go if it is
Yes, this sunday.
awesome i will definatly be there, cant wait. Is it just limited to g2 tegs or just anybody?
Dunno - post in the thread and ask.
take one more look fellas, shes gone…lost control last night and totalled my baby, it seriously feels like i lost one of my best friends. All over a stupid speeding ticket that i didnt feel like getting (135 in a 50), and an unexpected night in jail. Sorry guys i screwed up big time. :tsk: :bawl:   :vomit: :bang:
omg dude that sucks. i hope you’re ok though. so did you run from the cops? what do you mean over a ticket you didnt want to get?
well shit man best of luck and slow down next time! that WAS a beautiful car
PEACE
well ive been working hard so i havent been able to post but i bought another DA, cant help it love those cars so much. I found a captiva blue shell for 600 bucks, no damage what so ever and no motor/trans. Everything from the black car is good exept the drivers rear wheel and rear suspension so ive begun switching everything over. The big bonus with the car is it comes with a full energy suspension bushing kit and has allready been stripped out. I have decided to sell the carbon fiber fenders so if anybody is interested let me know, just trying to do something new this time, they werent damaged in the accident.
At least you’re keeping the dream alive.
posting some progress pics, got the new car torn down and everything that is not needed is now gone. got the Full Race traction bars and installed them, man does it free up some room, also relocated the fuse box and cleaned up the firewall, check it out…
