Well, JP finially got a motorswap done. We started saturday at 11:35pm and started the thing around 10 sunday morning. It was pretty cold so we had us a barrel fire going. Just JP, my brother Gregg and Me. It’s a USDM obd2 GSR in a 95 obd1 Hatch. We rewired the dizzy and added the wires nessacary for the obd2 system. JP now thinks he’s going to get an OBD1 ecu chipped to run the motor cuz OBD2 SUCKS!. There is way too many wires.

A delightful look at the different motors
A joyous 5am meeting around the barrel fire. We discussed many things, most of it being OBD2 wiring and how it could possibly have been that cold outside.
The B18C1 in place. If i remember correctly, it was about 6:30am when the last of the mounts were tightened.
The sun was finially shining. 3 cranks and she turned over, only to realize that someone never fully tightened the banjo nut on the filter, so gas came shooting out in all directions. Much fun.
All in all, the swap went down alright. The trouble came from the OBD1 to OBD2 conversion. I was trying to wire it off some real crappy pinouts that turned out to be really wrong. After finding a good one from a website that actually diagramed out the pinouts, we got the wiring finished and she is pretty quick. Still need to add some minor things, like o2 sensors since his CX had 1 wire o2’s and the OBD2’s use 4 wire heated ones.
