Well, first you must know that they do not make a header for the 90-93 Integras. The JUN header you will want is for the Integra Type R…any year. It does require some modification to get it to fit, but once you have it in it’s well worth it.
First off the quality of the piece. It’s simply amazing. The welds and bends are perfect. The flange is absolutely beautiful. A true work of art. This header gives you a lot of ground clearance, especially compared to the 4-1 counterparts.
Performance is unmatched as far as I am concerned. I went from a DC JDM 4-1 to this, and I used to have a 4700rpm “lag”. Not anymore. This thing gave me a lot more torque and the car pulls VERY strong all the way to redline. I didn’t think a header would make that much of a difference, but it did. At $900 retail, it’s not a cheap piece, but if you find yourself looking for a high end quality header, this is the one.

Dan - please elaborate on this. I would like to know what you had to do to get it to fit and what had to be modified. I would just ask you in person, but I have a feeling I am not the only one that wants to know.
Not to be an arse and try to do you one better. But…
I have installed my Hi-tech header and it looks and appears to run awesome. I say appears because I still have to get a new catback for my car. I have only started my car for a little bit withouth my exhaust attached. It sounds like a farm tractor with no exhaust. Hi-tech headers are 6" longer than stock so it requires some custom mods to fit correctly. Oh yeah the cross member needs to be a bit more radically modified than with a JDM 4-1. It takes some good hammer hits along with some notching to get it to fit correctly, I also have to get a thinner radiator fan to replace the old one. Once I get internet or a host website for my pictures I’ll post it. It’s a pretty tiiite looking header.
did u ever dyno the car with the DC JDM on? if so, i would like to see a comparo between the two (assuming that u can get a dyno chart for the JUN)… but for $900–thats a nice turbo manifold and a nice turbo u know.
Dan,
How does the quality compare to that of the Mugen, Spoon and Toda headers? Obviously you can’t tell us how they all perform, but if you have seen all or any of those headers listed above, does JUN still take the cake? Just curious cause $900 is quite a bit to spend on a header but I am looking at Mugen and Spoon right now.
I would say the welds are better than the Spoon or Mugen, and the JUN just looks CLEAN. I’ve never seen a header like it. Many people asked me in disbelief “YOU’RE GOING TO PUT THAT ON YOUR CAR???”. Hehehe. Yup. Also, one of the best reasons to get the JUN Header is that you will have more ground clearance than the Spoon or the Mugen. The DC was a Mugen knock off and I scraped it up pretty bad. Let me know if you have any other questions. Later.
NICE. Good to see you are enjoying your headers. I’ve been following your car since you started to build the type R hybrid. Question i had, do you know if the ground clearance for the JDM ITR headers is the same as the DC JDM headers for the DA???
oh yeah, if you can do me a favor and post up the link to your photopoint account, i would really appreciate it.

I’m also curious about this one.
From what I understand, the JDM ITR has “slightly” more ground clearance than the DC JDM ITR 4-1. As you can see though, the DC doesn’t have much ground clearance at all. This is with my 2.25" drop…
The JDM ITR 4-1 will require more trimming on the front crossmember than the DC JDM 4-1 though.
