So I’ve been on G2IC for a couple years because my best friend has always had DAs. Long story short, she recently wrecked her '90 Integra RS and gave me the motor for paying her tow bill (I accept cash, Visa, or car parts…) I’m also grabbing the trans, axles, pedals, hatch, and some other things. 2 days ago I just brought home a 1992 Integra GS. I’m not going to lie. It’s pretty beat and AUTOMATIC, but I’ve already started to do a few things to it. I got this for $400-- non-running (broken timing belt).
Since I have a parts car available, I will be swapping the motor and manual transmission into this car. I just bought some '90 tail lights and a rear valance panel to replace the missing one. I also purchased a '90 3 spoke steering wheel. New gaskets for the engine and new water pump and timing belt are sitting in my room too.
I’m pretty certain I’m getting the black leather seats from her car too. I’m keep the tan panels though.
I thought I’d post this as a before pic. I’m cleaning out the interior tomorrow. I already cleaned out $2 worth of pennies from the console. lol
unfortunately I made a stupid mistake and got t boned HARD on the driver’s side, the guy was probably going 40-45. Amazingly I was not injured at all, just had a bruise on my leg. The car still ran and drove afterward LOL. I parted a lot of it out and as you guys know the engine/tranny will be living on in another DA. It has 210k original miles and the only thing really wrong with it is the valve seats will burn oil if you idle it for long periods of time. That was my fourth DA and certainly not my last one. I did kind of go to the dark side, I bought a 93 Probe GT 5 speed, just because I’ve wanted one for over 12 years and figured after 7 1/2 years of Integras, maybe I should give myself a break. I do already miss them so it won’t be long.
