Ok I can finally post now… Just started with you guys here and im glad to see so many people together like this…Its pretty cool actually. Anyways I have a 93 GS 3dr and it has the 90-91 bumber on the front. Of course it is not matchiing up perfectly. It has about a 1/2 gap where it meets the fender on both sides and the bottom of it where it should bolt up to the bottom of the car it just kinda hangs dow(way tacky) What can I do to make it match up right, or should I find a 92-93 bumper?? opinions??
I would try removing the bumper and realigning it. Also has this car ever been hit in the front??? If i remember correctly the bumper support is different between the 90-91 and the 92-93. Just remove and check it out.
I’m in the same boat as you, I have a 92 GS that had been in a front end crash before i bought it, the garage that fixed it put the 90-91 style bumper on it which is good cuz i like that style better but i have a gap on my passenger side near my corner headlight and continues on to the end to the wheel well. i’ve had the bumper off once before already and i was looking at ways to fix it but something came up and i didn’t have the time to look into it any further, but yeah if i figure something out i’ll let you know.
Thanks man
i have a 93 RS with a 90-91 style bumper and it lines up perfectly, i didnt put it on so i dont know what was done to make it fit right, but figured yall might wanna know it can be made to fit perfectly.
yeah i’m pretty confident my buddies and i can get mine to fit perfectly with a little playing with the side mounts, because they are the only problem. its just gonna take some adjusting of the plastic mounts basically that and a decent weather day to actually want to work on it… stupid plastic mounts… stupid winter…
