K-Tuned Short Shifter

Has anyone tried or have this shifter?

I’m thinking about getting this shifter. So any personal opinions would be great.

Thanks.

Here’s a link of it installed on a Civic.

Its cheap, fully adjustable, name brand and looks ridiculous. Get it…

I was about to get it until I realized how dumb it looked. That design over a standard one is dumb to me. Thats my personal opinion. I bought the b&M shifter for my da…

I like the fact that is fully adjustable, I currently have a no name short throw shifter in my car.

I was searching on ebay for shifter extenders and I came across this

I’ve seen one recently… though I can’t recall if it was on G2IC or not. My memory is shit.

It’s understandable why they made one for the K series… anyone who’s used to a B series trans will feel out of sorts when first using a K. I can see the desire to adjust shifter position and throw.

Remember, when you adjust that lower pivot-ball, you may encounter contact with the exhaust pipe… just a fore-thought.

Yeah the one I currently have hits the exhaust pipe when I “wiggle” it NO HOMO . . .

But that one is made for D or B series.

Indeed. Adapting that concept to the b-series is a good thing, for them.

I say if you like the idea and functionality, give it a shot.

I’m goin to save a lil bit so I could see if i could get my hands on one.

My buddy just sold his about a week ago for $120 to bad I just found out about it, or else he would of sold it.

I say get it if your more into it’s function.
I’m the kinda of guy that would sacrifice form over function. it needs to work the way I need it to or it’s out.

You should never choose form over function. Thats ridiculous. Sacrificing functionality aspects of your car for the sake of looking good is a terrible decision.

Would you sacrifice your left nut just to make your cock a half inch bigger? Probably not considering most chicks are fine with what you got and would hope you know how to use it. Likewise, sacrificing the part of the car that determines how you move is pointless cause it WILL affect the cars ride. None the less, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and I know a lot of ppl who will go to the extremes to have what they want but they do pay a price for it in the end. It’s up to you whether or not it’s worth the cost.

Comparing a shifter to cutting one of your nuts off is a bit like apple’s and testicles… Different ball game.

what I meant is I don’t care if my exhaust is load and has a lot of cabin noise just as long as it makes real power. just an example.
don’t care if I’m running a home made 4" fiberglass cia instead of a aem intake so long as it makes power.

Haha, thats classic!

I’m interested in the ktuned shifter too, I just hope it functions well as compared to a b&m or s2, I kid I know has it in his EJ hatch but it looks weird cause the shift boot is pushed down and in , I don’t think there’s a collar for it to stay up is there?

Doesn’t look like the kit comes with anything like that. It’ll sit a little different in every chassis due to differences in where it mounts to the chassis and how the center console holds the boot. Most of the pics I’ve seen have shown the boot all the way up to the adjuster mechanism in the middle and that piece naturally sits pretty low. So basically the boot has to sit low due to that piece being in the way. But, if you mean that the boot is slipping down even further, then that’s a super easy fix. Just get a rubber and or o-rings to hold it in place.

if your want function, look into a FLP or a fastline performance shifter…i have never looked back to a stock one again…

sorry to revive an old thread… but.
CG5accord i was looking to the flp shifter for a while now and was wondering if it had any clearance issues with the exhaust? i am running a 3" exhaust and i dont wanna spend all the money and have it not fit thats why i like the idea of the k tuned being fully adjustable.
