What color are you going with?
You won’t see anymore from me until I get a build thread.

Didn’t thought you were on here Topo! Why don’t you make a Build Thread on here??
Mrpenny: Car will be black. I’m waiting for your build-up thread! I’m thingking about making one here but…whatever.
If you have any questions about the swap, I’ll be happy to answer you, too.
Thanks

Yeah im on here, i found this site while searching for my integra…actually i found it in the clasifieds here. Im not on too often though.
Too much work for a build thread…il post it up once its done and running.
It should be soon if i dont have any major problems.
How did you wire your fans to work?
yea im not really into turbo setups. and this is going to be my sunday banger.so ill try the six speed when i do it if i can find it.
abs-lsd whats your email. i do have quesions about my build im about to get a k24a2. and really want to know the specifics before i buy mine is emerson6748@gmail.com im also swhangin on k20a.org
He don’t use Hotmail (Already asked him).
What do you need to know?
This thread is here for that.
Im Topo Gigio at k20a.org if you need to pm me.
But lets keep this thread open and informative
ask away
-does the conversion kit for the shifter box for a 94 and up integra work to convert it ? i was told that hybrid makes a universal shift box kit that can work with a lot of swaps. or is this guy just throwing options in that will make him more cash? also is there a conversion kit that you know of that doesnt require cutting a huge hole?
-is the tensioner really that bad of a problem casue the shop that i went said it was and well you know i dont feel like haveing to cahnge this shit up when i drop the engine in.
-is there any sensors or plugs that need to be rewired on the engine harness? or replaced on the engine
-What mounts did you guys use i know u mentioned the innovative ones dont really work unless modified. I got quoted on some mounts from hasport 549.00 for aluminum ones i beleive. Did you guys through anyone else for mounts?
Thats it for now i keep having question that i think of while working and stuff but never write them down. so i will be asking more im sure of it.
Canada rocks out with k20’s out

You could use the rsx-s shift box with a karcepts plate, that requires you to cut a hole in the tunnel to fit it. Its a good option if you dont want to spend much and dont mind cutting. Personally i went with the hybrid racing shift kit, its fully adjustable and feels better than the oem design also i think it leaves more room for the exhaust pipe to pass underneath. Another way to do it would be by making a plate to bolt the rsx shifter on the tunnel, only problem is you cant fit the console over it.
Are you talking about the timming chain tensioner? if you are theres nothing to worry about untill you start messing with the valvetrain. Big agressive cams put much more stress on the chaintensioner and an upgraded one is good for peace of mind/insurance.
You would have to make a custom charge harness or modify an rsx charge harness. Its very simple. Basically all you need is a wire from the battery to fuse box, battery to starter, alternator to fuse box. Plus a ground for the battery.
Another thing is that you need to install a b-series temp sensor on the water neck and connect that to the gauge cluster. Reason: our guage clusters dont read signals from k series temp sensors. Plus the fan switch, you could bolt it onto an rsx rad or use a rad hose insert.
Whatever engine you pick up shouldnt need any extra sensors or wires besides the oxygen sensor. Stick the the k20a2 if you want less headaches because the k20z1 and k20z3 are more expensive and require diff/more parts to work.
As far as i know hasport doesnt currently make mounts for the da. The innovative mounts are okay you just have to make sure they send you the right ones because 90-91 is not the same as 92-93 and 92-93 gs-r is like 90-91.
alright thats sweet thanks. Im talking K24a2 in my car any input? as in differences for the modification of the swap.
also here is a little something i found while trying to look up my own answers i googled it twice after i saved it to my favorites and couldnt find it good thing i saved before exiting. check it out: http://hondaswaps.info/step-by-step-k-series-swap-acura-integra.html
This Step-By-Step is really clean.
On my side, I used a Karcept Shifter Plate means for EG. I needed to grind of some metal to make it fit. Very Little modifications.
K24a2 shouldn’t be any harder than a RSX-S Swap.
Sweet write up.
K24a2 is an awsome way to go:rockon:
There are some differences but nothing major as far as swapping.
Anything you need to know can be found right here

Thanks. i try to help out if i can on here. Nice suggestion too.
Are you talking about the 92-00 civic/94-00 integra shifter mounting plate that karcepts makes?
Hybrid Racing makes a bolt in shifter for those that don’t want to cut up their car:

oh. well i might just cut my car up to save 200 dollars, but that is baller.
Just because I’m a post whore…
ahah, you canadians and your trees.
if i had a workspace like that i would be working on my car everyday, is the barn useful garage space or storage for your wood-forest lifestyle?
No more snow! Your work space must be amazing. Im dealing with a one car garage here lol
Im almost done.
Heres a little something something.
i just got a chubby from the pics. cars are way closer then mine. I just got the brake booster off a day ago(last thing in the engine bay)haha so i got some time.
that is freaking tight, very clean too
