Koni w/ Ground Control Coilovers Raising Issues

I have a Koni Yellow Shocks with Ground Control Springs and Coil Over setup.

I Just recently raised the rear height to the highest possible (four threads exposed at the top). There were problems getting the locking 3/16 allen screw to free loose. Ended up using a spanner wrench to free it loose and begin to raise the suspension.
I tried to adjust the fronts just the same, but ended up that the entire coil over sleeve moves together with the ring. Has anyone had this happen? Also with the car jacked up, how would I compress the springs without removing them to get the extra inch (on coil over sleeve) I need?

I had this happen and as weird as this sounds, (worked for me atleast) take a used bicycle tube and wrap it around once then i used a c clamp to clamp around the sleeve and used it to prevent the sleeve from turning. Hope this works for you.

kind of off topic a little bit but. im about to buy koni yellow adjustables. according to the ground control website they are not compatible.
BUT
on my crx it has kyb agx shocks with gc’s and it says theyre no compatible…

i just want to know if it will work and what makes the shock not capable of having the spring on it??
