Koni Yellow/ Ground Control combo help

So I have two questions,
First: What is a good website to purchase this combo from?

And the top hats: are they a must have or can I do without them? How much do the help?

Thnks in advance for the help:)

bump anyone?

Check the sponsor section of Honda-tech, someone is almost always running a sale on them.

You don’t need the top hats, but the lower you plan on having the car the more benefit you will get out of them. If you are going pretty low then I’d say you want at least the fronts for that extra 1" of travel.

I got my set up shipped from Weksos. They have good prices and customer service.

i see yeah im plannin on going pretty low so im thinking its best invest in them. yeah i checked weksos pretty good deal but i had stumbled upon another site i think it was jdmultimate where i can get the shock and spring combo for around 850 or so shipped.

I actually did some research and found out that jdmultimate is not a good place to purchase from. It has a few bad reviews so im thinking on ordering from thmotorsports

thmotorsports is where I ordered mine from. They’ve been great to me on all my purchases. Best way to go, if you ask me…

sweet thanks!

Any time  I’ll be going to them in a few weeks for some more new goodies.

Good luck with the Koni/GC setup. It is, in my opinion, the BEST bang for the buck suspension option for Daily Drivers that like to do a little occasional auto-x/track time.

yeah my buddys been telling me that also. i bet im going to like it because i have been rolling on blow shocks and springs for a while now

yup if you want to slam it get the front extended top hats. What rates you planning to run

im not sure on rates what rates are good?

all depends on what you plan to do with the car.

well it will be making a few track visits on a straight away and a little road racing throught windy roads as well as a daily driver

Thats a contradiction. Contrary to the name, “road racing” is NOT done on roads, it’s done on race tracks. Please don’t drive near the limit on public roads, it’s horribly dangerous.

As for spring rates, I wouldn’t go any higher than 500/400, and you could even go with what the off the shelf DA spring rates are from Ground Control. Upping your spring rates won’t give you any significant benefit (decreased lap times) when compared to how much stiffer the ride will be. But it’s all a compromise, everyone has to determine where in that spectrum they want to be. But since it’s a daily driver I’d go with something softer.

I’m running 380F/450R. Overall, it’s a great setup. I’m likely to either swap the front springs to the rear, or keep the rears as is, and just order stiffer fronts. The rear likes to kick out when I make a quick directional change in corners. I’d like to have a more neutral feel, personally. Oversteer is nice to look at. But, it’s terrible for times. Especially, in a FWD car.
For a daily, I’d keep the shocks on the softest setting, and just run with “off the shelf” rates, as Colin mentionef earlier. Best if both worlds, and still a moderate handling improvement.

vouch for them too quick responses when i needed to fix an order

well i have recently been emailing tunersports.com i got them off the mechandise section of the forum and they seem to have very good customer service.

I ordered my stuff from weksos. Just the coilovers n a pair of tophats for the front…I scored some used konis beforehand…ill probably get stiffer springs all around and another pair of tophats for the rear later…love this setup…street sweeper when u want to… who doesn’t like a slammed car;)

i just ordered yesterday got a damn good deal i think. got the coilovers and shocks with a skunk2 front camber kit for 1041
