i about to buy a set of kumho ecsta 712. but the guy offered me some other tires which are called federal, he said that michelin makes them or something like that.
they are $20 cheaper then kumhos and he said theyu have good grip. he aslo offered a set of falken, but at the higher price.
what can you guys say about these makes of tires? kumhos or federals? or falkens?
whats teh price. . u can get kumho ecstas for 50 dollars per tire through tire rack if your running 195/50 15’s. .only thing is, you have to say your car is a CRX cuz they won’t sell them to a DA for some reason. . :cP But yeah. . I hate federal. .i have them on front as of now, and they wear FAST as HELL, and don’t grip for ish!!! Seriously dude, crappy tire, CRAPPY tire. . CRAPPY CRAPPY tire. . . I’d only get it in desperation. … for some reason these tire shops really try to push those tires. . i don’t know why. . .they are crap dude. . . its just like whne you go to an aftermarket shop and you ask for skunk2 coilovers, and they try to sell you on a Matrix cuz its the “same” thing. . . i don’t know why they do it.
thanks for the reply. that is exactly what i thought, the guy was just trying to push those federal tires even though they are cheaper. i believe noone is buying them, that is the reason.
the kumhos v rated ecsta 712 195/50/15 he is trying to sell for 105 a piece installed.
i might go with the kumhos then, but what do you think about those falken ones?
Falken Azenis??? Ziex??? the azenis are AWESOME. . best tire you can get for the price. . only thing is they wear fast. . and 104 a tire for the ecstas??!!??! i got two of them for 116 shipped through tire rack. if your gonna get the ecstas, go through tirerack.com Trust me. .u’ll save a lot of money. . The Ziex is pretty good too, but doens’t get near the play of the Falken. . . Its got a great compound, good for drag or grip racing. . . If it was between the 3, i’d go with falken. . .but between Kumho and Federal. . .u know my answer there already. . .but yeah dude. . . 104 a tire installed is wayyyyyy too much. … .WAY too much. . .What size tire are you talking about though (all my prices are for 195/50/15)

BTW I got the Kumho’s from them. I like them (for the price I can’t complain)

yea i am in toronto. the price on kumhos was $483 CAN taxes in and installed and the price on falken azenis was $667 CAN taxes in installed.
What is the tirerack.com? do they ship to Canada and is it safe to order from there?
If i won’t find anything i might go with falkens from that shop where i went… its only 163 a difference between kumhos and them. how fast do falkens wear out? would they last 2 seasons? i am not talking about winter.
yea the size i am looking is 195/50/15. the sales person was pushing me to get 205… he tried hard… i hate when people do that especially when i told him what i am looking for.
