I’m dropped 1.5-1.8" warranty says no more than 1.5" also it says they can tell when the shock was on too low of a car.
Ben
So H&R Race Springs lower 2.00/2.25, that is too low for the KYB’s? What if you adjust the settings? What shocks/struts will work with drops lower than 1.8"? Does .2" really make a difference? What if you have a camber kit, does that make a difference?
It’s fun learning about suspension. ![]()
Also, Secret Agent, judging by your sig, you drag race. How are the Neuspeed Sports for dragging? Are they stiff enough in the rear to get good traction?
do the koni’s specify lowest height? what about illuminas
My car is lowered about 2.5. Neuspeed sports are only supposed to drop it 1.8, but i guess thats the height before the settle. The rear EF AGX’s are made for a shorter spring, so there shouldn’t be any problems when put on the DA with a lowering spring. The fronts are only supposed to be lowered about 1.5 according to KYB. Tokico also says the same thing about the Illuminas. In fact, every strut I know of on the market says the same thing, unless they are made for lowered cars, i.e. the Koni Yellow’s.
My girlfriend has some GR-2’s that we put on her civic which is lowered about 3". they have been on there for about 2 years now and they still feel brand new. And those are the lesser quality KYB’s. Mine have been on the car for about 5 months, but I haven’t driven the car in 5 months, so they haven’t had any wear on them. But I have no doubt they will hold up just as well if not better than the GR-2’s.
Later.

What about for dragging? Are the Neuspeed Sports stiff enough to get good launches?
