Im probably going to get a set of ground controls or skunk2 coilovers, and im kinda new to suspension. I want a SLIGHTLY firmer ride, and sharp handling, but im not looking to go autocrossing or outhandle an S2000 or anything. Do the AGX’s fit on the mentioned coilovers? Of the two coilovers, which is the better buy for a daily driven car? Im not looking to drop more than 2.25 in the summer and ill probably end up rasing it back to stock height in the winter (snow banks…d’oh!)
Vince,
Here’s a better idea; save up $775 for my Tein SS’s and I’ll put them on for you this summer. I really like the adjustability of the inverted shock JIC FLTA2s and I think I’m gonna pick them up. I saw them at Autobacs, too. They be purdy…
Teins, eh? How much are they new? If I can save up anough “extra” money after this swap, then Ill buy those. But the only quarral I have about getting TEINS is the fact that they are a little bit overkill for me.

aroun $900, no? Highly depends on who you deal with though…
Dylan, I think amber already told my parents to get me AGX’s. She is tired of the 4x4 look on my car as much as I am. After christmas ill see what Ive got, then well see what I need. Anyway, any opnions? Are they good/bad? this car isnt going to be lowered much.
I have GC’s w/ KYB Agx in the front and GR2’s in the rear. And I love them. I have had them for about three years and they are finaly getting worn, but only after I have beat the HE(double hockey sticks) out of them. The GC’s are nice because I bought the ones that can also hook up to a BILSTEN shock set. The TEC support for Ground Control was great.
The Tein basics are 700 I think for the DA.
Ive got GC’s with AGX’s in the front as well. I like that I can adjust them to 4 different settings. But I always have it on 4 (stiffest) because my car is dropped a bit and it can bottom out on bad road sections at speed. But if the road is smooth you can turn it down and it will really hook! I also got the gr2’s in the back.
I luv em! I think they have a better ride than the skunks because the spring rate is not as stiff so you dont get that $hittY a$$ bouncy ride going down the road. Ive only had mine for 1/2 a year.
coil overs (used) & 4 shocks (new 2 agx 2 gr2) all for under $500
Now thats my type of price
Plus I got the c/o’s from a member on this board, Thanks Eric
my homeboy got some KYB AGX’s And some Tein S form Ebay For $400 something put them and it handles bad a$$ taking the curves at 70MPH front are set at 2 and the back are set at 3. by the way he has a 2000 civic ex. the install took bout 2hrs. but now he needs a camber kit beacuse the spings lowered more then we thought
currently i have the front agx on setting 3 with 450lb eibach sportlines (1.8"), rear koni yellow with 550lb skunk2 coilover. i think its great, except i would like more adjustability for the front, so im gonna eventually get front koni’s to match. i want to compete, but if you’re sure youre not going to, then i say go ahead.
Yea, im not going to compete. Im scared to push my car to its limits, especialy if im going to be raising those limits substantially.
i can get u kyb agx for about 100 or so a piece and gr2 at around 60 or so let me know if u want em im in ca w/o shipping of course
JRT, are those KYB’s new or used? i was wondering if you could hook me up on a pair for the front (91 teg), id pay for shipping if its reasonable…
