kyb gr2 shocks

has anyone had any feedback on these shocks?

i wanted to lower my car with nuespeed sport springs and saw these shocks

Deal or NO Deal

The kyb GR2’s are designed for springs that lower the vehicle no more than 1.5". They are basically a stock replacement, but are made to handle a slight drop. Ive heard both good and bad things about them, but the bad things are usually the people who buy coilovers and think the GR2’s will work. Check out the many reviews over at hondatech using their search there are pages and pages of reviews on kybs, tokicos, and koni’s.

i’ve been dropped on gr-2’s and sportline springs for almost two years and i haven’t had any problems and they’re not overly rough. the combination is definitely stiffer than stock, but i can still drive over bumps and rough roads without killing my spine. I’ve taken 1000+ mile trips and the quality of the ride has been the least of my worries.

i think the best ride has to be tokico blues with eibach prokits

i have neuspeed sports with the kyb gr2s, and overall its a pretty good ride, and i hardly ever bottom out. Id say if you on a budjet, gr2s are the way to go.

i roll on kyb gr2’s and i like the way it rides,

Mine sucked, Nearly dead within 1yr. 3" drop.

If I could go back, I would of picked the Tokico HPs.
Now I got Koni Yellows, and I’m never going back.

I am dropped a little over 2" on gr2’s and never had a problem with them. They are a little stiff I think and I have made a trip form NV to ME o them and they still work great.

i have the KYB gr2 with H&R OEs springs (.75" drop)

i would have to say that they pair well with the H&R, and wouldnt say anything bad about them

where do you get the hr oe’s and how much?

they sell the OEs at tirerack.com

I have KYB GR2s.

With ebay coil overs.

Im lowered about 2"… maybe less.

The shocks work great, the springs suck.

Im going to probably get H&R sports 2.25" drop or Eibach Sportlines 1.8"

i have the GR2’s with goldline 2" drop, they have been on my car for 2 years
with zero problems

sorry man not trying to jack ur thread but, does anyone have hr race springs with GR2’s? i have ebay coilovers on factory shocks and the shocks are done. so i want a brand new setup that has a good ride and i dont have to break the bank for

yo i hated my kybs never agian will i get them i had a 2in drop and they sucked i blew them in less then a month im very disappointed with them hey anyone know of any shocks that are stiffer gr2s were like stock ones and sucked

i agree. kyb gr2’s aren’t too stift. sitll get that bouncey ride. my car used to be slammed and coilovers and kyb’s before i raised the car and it handled the same for me.
