My 91 Integra RS needed a new MC and brake booster so Off to the Junk yard I went.
Decided to upgrade to a large ABS MC and larger Brake booster from a 92 integra GS Automatic.
After I finished bleeding the brakes I’m happy to report good news.
Brake pedal is firm and very responsive.
My brakes are great!!!
The install was basically a bolt on afair except the rear Brake line fitting on the MC was changed to acomidate the larger thread. an adaptor can also be found at most part stores. Cheers
There was a write up some time ago. It talked about changing out the 15/16" MC out for the 1" ABS MC. I don’t remember who did it. Maybe Ben Ogle or Armed Ferret???
Lots of people say you shouldn’t mix ABS parts with non ABS cars but I did something like that myself.
I got a 88 CRX that I put rear disks on so I wanted to upgrade the porportioning(sp?) valve, MC and booster. I went with the 4040 integra valve, a 15/16 integra MC and a 92-97(believ those are the years) prelude booster. The prelude booster is larger then any integra booster. Oh yea, the prelude was ABS so i had to shave the rod down a little so it wouldn’t hold the MC open. Brakes work incredible now.
