I wanna get either the skunk2 LCA’s or the rear lower tie bar. which do you think i should get now vs. later and what do you think of each?
You might as well wait, and get both to save installation time.
get the lower tie bar to stiffen up the chassis and it’s just two bolts to remove for the installation.and by the way are you runnin’ wide tires thats why you need those lcas?
well they’re sorta wide i guess… 7"
the reason i wanna get them is I am trying to completely overhaul/upgrade my suspension set up. It’s one of my current “projects”
Tie bar would do something more then a LCA upgrade, most people get lca’s just for the bling factor and maybe improved camber(just a bit), and maybe slight weight savings, other then that stock LCA bushings on a stock lca vs a skunk 2 or any other aftermarket LCA won’t do you much of anything, actually using anything harder then stock bushing wise or anthing harder then mugen bushings(which is supposedly harder) will cause certain bushings to bind cause their not allowed to move through out their range of moment which is up and down or slight twistings.
Only time i think a person needs anything harder then stock bushings or spherical type bushings is if your gonna be running your car on the track where it make sa difference, and ALL of yoru suspension is pretty much ment for track use
But get what you want. Just giving you a option to either stay with new honda lca’s or new aftermarket lca’s. Good luck.
Why not get both??? I’m runin on lca’s and a lower bar and I love them both. You will feel the effects of the lower tie bar mor then lca’s. Lca’s help with stiffer bushings and all but alot is the “bling bling, look what i’s got”. Here’s my sup setup function form lca’s, mfactory lower tie bar, skunk 2 springs, tokico illuminas, es trail arm bushings, suspention tech rear sway with es endlinks, revo front upper arms, mugen tower bar and I <3 <3 my suspention so far. :ohyeah:
word. i like the way that sounds man. lol nice setup
Uh…mugen never made a Strut/Tower bar for the rear or front of our cars.
Lol hehe I know its from a dc.
so…you actually drilled holes and welded the bolts above the shock towers just to put on a mugen bar from a dc?..ok
Yes, that is true thats what you have to do for a mugen bar but mine has mugen power on it and looks exactly like the mugen bar. lol hehe So don’t get your panties in a bunch lol.
So then its not a mugen bar…
lol well ppl think it is real so its all good.
soooo, fake mugen… I think I’ll just stick to my REAL Cusco bar. lol
lol i could afford the cusco bar to but blue+red car=ehhh… plus i liked the mugen bar but didn’t want to go through all that trouble so it “looks and has the badge” so why not lol. but it does look good, im just doing what rota does takes work rims makes the same design mm mm “bootlegging”. :giggle:
lol, nice. as far as the cusco blue thing, I’m actually doing this whole blue and white thing, so it just happend to match perfectly. lol. blue intake, strut bar, oil cap, wires, pulley, batter tie down, (and as of 2 days ago RED plug wires ) lol
Nice blue and white looks good. im doing the red with white but i have some black parts lol. But when I put my parts back on from winter ill be posting pics. Well now you can say you have red, white and blue lol. But i dont know how its gunna look ether if i decide to get the blue spoon sports wires for the b16 lol.
hmmm, i think I’ll just live with them. lol
why would you need the aftermarket LCAs if you have wide tires?
Simple answer. Tie bar 1st.
