My 1992 Integra is leaking water bad in my front floor board on passenger side when it rains.
I have taken off wipers, cowl over and fresh air cover and resealed all of it and it did not fix the problem.
Does anyone know how to stop this problem?
What did you use, and how did you re-seal it?
On the fresh air cover I replaced and used a rubberrized foam with sticky tape like the original.
Then I used several beads of automotive clear silicone around it after I screwed
everything back in place to keep water from getting in around it.
I also re-glued the foam where it was coming loose on the cowl under the wipers
where it lays on the wind shield so, it would lay down correctly against the glass.
I’m sure the most common culprit is the 8 grommet buttons. You either buy 8 new clear grommet or take out the plastic screws and full the grommet with silicone then pop the screw back in.
i agree with da6xsi06. The part # is 91608-SJ6-003. It should be under $20 with tax for all 8 of them, I replaced them a few months back and no leaks down there!
I did replace the (8) part # 91608-SJ6-003 and that seems to have fixed the problem.
It has rained all day today and at times pretty hard and no leaks.
Thanks for the help !!!
My car does this too. But it might be the windshield.
Oh well I fixed this a couple months ago. Just cleaned the garage and don’t take it out in rain lol
Can someone post a picture of these grommets and their location?
where did you find those for under 20 bucks? i look around and find them for around 30 or more
I would also like to know so i can buy some new ones
i know this thread is a bit old but i seem to be having this problem also and it sucks because my app does have a garage =( but anyway can someone help by posting up a picture or perhaps a diagram of where these grommets are located please and thank you
