so the 23t is what iam looking for
if your doing what i did, yes the 23t is what your looking for… Do you already have the calipers?
no i dont my plan is to get the brakets and get 1 new caliper and see if they will work with my momo 15 inch wheel if it dont i can return caliper and iam only out 40$ on the brakets thanks for ur help
1 more ? can i use legend brake pads
legend brake pads is what you need… If i were you i would just go to a junk yard and get the calipers and brackets, that’s what i did. I found them at pick-n-pull
now the mini cooper rotors u used are they for the type s or just the reg modle do u know what dia they were
they are from a 2007 base model mini, and they are 280mm
sweet thanks for ur help my 15s fit is there any kinda upgrade for the rear
there is but have to get custom brackets made in order to upgarde your rear rotors to 11inch using rear nsx calipers but you cant use your stock 15inch rims have to use 16inch
I’ve read that you can get the rear caliper brackets and rotors from a 2003 civic si… You just use your stock calipers with the SI brackets and rotors. They are only 10 inch, but that is still a lot bigger than whats on there now
ok iam gona get some si brakets and try that i was thinking of making some brakets and finding a biger rotor but if this works it will same me some time thanks
i’m 99% sure i’m about to catch some back lash, but reading through an entire 24 pages…yea…
i just wanted to ask, to ensure you get the dual piston legend brakes, is there a specific year model, or are all legends equipped w/ dual piston calipers? i’m asking because i know of where a legend is sitting up right now and i have a possibility of pulling the brakes off
I believe its a 94-95 Legend GS. Correct me if im wrong
alright cool. i’ll go talk to them and see what the legend is about and try to pull them if that’s indeed the model/yr
they are found on other years and models also… i found mine on a 93
what trim model?
Legends with dual piston calipers are only ones that have type 2 motors
So all 93-95 coupes will have them
Only GS 9495 sedans will have them
Anything else won’t have them.
EXTREMELY USEFUL POST!!! wish there was arep option. thanks man…i have to find out the year and trim
My rotors are wearing very thin so I might as well attempt this front brake uprgrade.
Are the 95-98 Odyssey Calipers the same as the Prelude Vtec/ITR calipers?
I can get get 95-98 Odyysey calipers for deals and I’m looking for a bolt on affair. I’d rather not deal with grinding down surfaces or redrilling rotors.
Rotor Options
•90’ VW Carrado Diameter = 280mm Thickness = 22mm Thickness including hub = 39.2mm
•98-02 Mercury Cougar Diameter = 278mm Thickness = 24mm Thickness including hub = 47mm
•07 Mini Cooper Diameter = 276mm Thickness = 22mm Thickness including hub = 44mm
Which rotor would be my best option for as little modifications as possible with the said calipers?
