Legend Foglight Covers

So yesterday after picking up my speedo cable and valve cover gasket kit at my local Acura dealership I decided to wander over to the scrap yard as I had my tool bag from work and time to kill. As I was wandering the import section I spotted a Legend and got excited about doing the fog light mod using the yellow bulb covers. So I pulled out the covers and everything was good until I got home and took my foglights apart (pulled the glare guards off because I still have a few months of small project time) and I couldn’t figure out how to mount them. Did I grab the covers from the wrong generation or am I just missing something?

thanks in advance

I picked up the same covers, but I put them ebay headlights. You will have the replace the original bulb mount with the capsule bulb mount somehow.
(original fog light)

So you’ll take out those three screws and then you will have to modify the capsule the fit the fog light, hopefully where the old bulb mount screwed into.

In my case I just bent the tab you screw to the fog light to a part where I was able to screw it into the housing. Maybe if you do the same it will line up with one of the three screws the original screwed into.

Hope that helps some what!

The fog cover in the original post are not the right ones and won’t work. See how the yellow part is connected by spot welds? The ones you need come totally apart and have a spring. They also don’t have a metal cover over the capsule.

I believe those post are out of an older legend, you need like 94-95 or maybe they come out of a vigor. I can’t remember, but I know those are wrong.

Damn, I knew it was to good to be true. Oh well they were free after all haha.

You might be able to make it work, but I only know this cause I just tried to get another set from the junk yard and ended up with those same ones too. I know for sure they won’t fit unless you take out the glare guard. The ones I have in my car are different like I explained above and fit like OEM.

as long as you are able to screw it into the housing it’ll work. And since you already took the glare guards out you’re golden.

Post up a pic with them on if you get them in. Wanna see what that guard makes them look like.

I was actually just going to take a pair of side cutters and take them off while leaving the retaining clips but I might just throw them in as is because it’s not like the car is moving anytime soon. Independent fog light mod here I come!

So I decided to just bend the tabs to get the capsule to fit better and more flush and it actually tightened up pretty good for only being secured by one screw. Once I rewire the fogs and get power back in the car I will post up pics of the lighting.

Cheap and easy mod (only cost me admission into picknpull $2)! I’m pretty interested to see how it looks with the capsule straight in the in housing like that. On my lights it’s diagonal so I don’t think I get the full light output that I could have but my lenses are clear so idk.

This is how mine look with the same foglight covers:

At night

Sorry but I had to pull the plug on the project. The bulbs were different than the stock H3`s (both the cut outs and the positive connectors) so I just threw the old stock bulb holders in.

hmm that’s odd, my H3 bulbs fit right in on mine.
