and thats why im using them …the rear quarter and the rear hatch are good for daily drivers …but the two fronts and the windshield …id only use in track cars …but i know of a few people using them in daily/weekend warriors cars …
hey bro. did you mount them yourself or take them to a shop or window place? and i assume you got the molded ones not the plates.
hit me up on AIM - broke92teg
how much lighter are they?
answered on the flex-a-lite website.
Besides those two people listed, quickda6 also has the Fal windows.
Not all that smart of a move
why is it not a smart move?? i dont know, so im asking.
i dont know if your talking to me …but i havnt ordered them yet …but i know quickda6 has them on here …and but im not exactly positive if the full race ones are molded or flat but i think there flat …and i think they mite have clips but ive seen people rivot them in …but i think im going to take them to auto glass place thats familiar with this type of stuff and have them do it …
nickgmiller04: because it causes glare and from what i hear they scratch easy …i dont know of anything else off hand …
ever seen a rock come flying at you at 60mph… Just don" do the front window boys, unless you have bullet proof sheild on your race helmet. Ask ayrton senna
I have a real FAL:
but getting the hatch window would be reasonable though right?
[QUOTE=Archon]I have a real FAL:QUOTE]
that one only goes straight
i want to get the rear hatch window to any problems?you guys are rite nopi sells them cheap!!!
you guys do realize these things aren’t the most durable windows…right? not in regard to danger, but in regard to scratches and how they’ll look if they get scratched up. I would definitely not put these on a daily driver, at least not for most normal daily driver situations.
whats a good window then?
normally good quality windows have 3 major characteristics:
-
They block the wind.
-
You can see out of them.
-
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ASKING???
haha!!
What’s a good window? Depends on your application.
If your car is garaged, not driven much, doesn’t really have to endure the elements, and if you don’t mind being very careful while washing your windows…then get some lexan ones like FAL.
If you just want light windows and don’t care about what they look like or don’t care about maintaining them… then get some lexan ones like FAL.
If you drive your car everyday, often are forced to go weeks w/o washing it, your car sits outside all day and all night long… then don’t get lexan, just stick with stock and deal with it. Personally the decrease in weight from FAL windows is not worth the abuse they would be forced to take on my car. I’d rather have stock ones and have to deal with the weight, defrost lines, holes…etc… than watch as my expensive lexan windows get destroyed since my car must endure the elements
your right …id only go with the rear if your car is situations like that daily …
Oh and Colin, don’t try to pretend that you don’t want lexan windows.
