i remember when i did this to my car right when i got it. it was seriously the cool thing to do. so was huge wings and body kits… but for me i used the rubber thingies and the bolts that were on my intake resonator. gave it a perfect look. but then my engine bay got really dirty fast. that was my main reason i put it back.
if you had individual throttle bodies it’ll help a lot, my buddy gots it on he crx.

honeslty just go get some hard plastic spacers used to mount plasmas or tvs on the wall. that will give u the space u want. there about .5 in inch and relitivly cheap… and then get some bolts.
You could just take out the rubber portion along the firewall and have the same effect without making your hood look dumb.
Or you could accept the fact that Honda meticulously engineered the vehicle. meaning raising your hood in the back would not only look dumb, but be good for little other than getting your engine bay a little more dirty.
This is simply a pathetic attempt at a ‘show mod’. Cracking your hood 3/4 an inch does NOTHING for keeping your engine bay cooler… prove me wrong, you can’t.
Exactly! Jerry-rigging the hood hinges comes from the “form before function” school. If you say you want to keep your engine bay cooler, put a scoop, cut air slats, or route air ducts from the front of the car. For me, I’d keep the hood the way it is.
