why do some people raise the back of their hood?
its called jdm hood risers. people do it to look koool and to get that jdm look.
all you have to do is get a longer bolts and a lot of washers and then you got the jdm look
it also helps with cooling down the engine faster cause its little more air in the engine bay

no problem man. my friend had done this on is dc but used an old number of washers on ether side so it was like weird. he was just to lazy and get more lol.
its not a JDM integra thing, its something i beleive originated in Japanese car culture with Hatchi’s and whatnot. the idea is for more air to escape the engine bay. i can see it also helping with a strutbar or something that would normally be too high to fit. maybe even and engine swap that sits too high.

LMAO guys, I don’t think I would do that to my car unless I needed as much air flow as possible, maybe extended racing and what not, however, on the street, I think the cars look good with out that, and, I can’t tell whether I would like that with the hood or not.
i think it looks ok on that particular DA but i like looked at mine and with the stock height it might look goofy

Yeah, I guess it doesn’t look too bad on that one, however, I think I will keep mine as is. Oh, he could be doing that for extra downforce on the front :giggle:
