Lighter plug, interior lighting stopped working ...

Firstly, I should introduce myself.

My moniker is Phydeau (obviously), very nice to meet you.

I recently obtained myself a 1992 Acura Integra. I’ve got the standard bolt ons and will, in the not too distant future be moving up to more “intermediate” performance upgrades.

I love this car, best I’ve ever had.

Anyhoo, on to my issue. I did a search and dug a few pages in and could not find what I needed to know. If it was a poor search on my part, I apologize for reposting for information that has been shared in the past. I certainly do not wish to waste anyone’s time.

I deliver pizzas as my primary source of income. Due to this profession I need my GPS, radar detector and the obligatory lit signage on my vehicle.

Having only one outlet, I purchased a 3-way splitter. I plugged my gear into the thing and drove about 2 blocks and it all stopped working: Interior lights, lighter plug and clock also including my stereo … I suspect that the installer tied the stereo into the power line that feeds the lighter outlet.

Of course, my first thought was “Crap, I blew the fuse!” … went and purchased a pack and went to swap it out.

Problem is, even after switching out the fuse with several others, it’s still not powering up.

Is there something I’m missing?

Where else should I check?

I’ve never been a “car guy” and despite my skills with building computers and other electronics, I’m not very mechanically inclined.

Any help you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Problem solved:

It seems our Japanese friends have tacked a diagram to the fuse box that is inaccurate.

I took a line tester to each and discovered it was the fuse labeled “sun roof” that was blown.

I love when it’s a simple fix.

Thanks for all your help, guys.
