Got my set in from Skunk2 today… I’m just going to say that I am skeptical and can’t really comment on anything until I get them on and get an alignment. It might be a week or two before I can post a full review with alignment specs, but there is one coming.
Thanks! Keep us posted please!
Ordered mine from WEKSOS, picked them up yesterday, and installed them this morning. So far everything lookes pretty good, but i wont know for sure untill tomorrow morning when i go get my alignment. I will post up my alignment results tomorrow…
ok, so i got my alignment done this morning. her are the results.
front-leftfront-rightsuggested range
Camber:-1.1*****-1.3******-1.0 to 1.0
Caster:2.12.4.05 to 2.5
Toe:0.010.01*** -0.08 to 0.08
so the only thing out of spec is the camber, and i have it set out as far as it will go… I’m not really low, and i’m not tucking tire. So if you are really low your camber probably will be affected even more than mine. With the stock ball joints and a-arms i had -3 degrees of camber and now i’m down to -1 degree. -1 degree of camber isn’t that bad, but they advertise 3 degrees of camber correction, but i was only able to get 2 degrees. over all i happy with them so far, but only time will tell.
Hmm… sounds very familiar… kind of like the EF kit (which only corrected 2 degrees of camber). Your caster is out if I remember correctly. I believe the factory spec is 1 degree +/-1 (I’ll have to double check that… I know mine is set at +1 degree). From my experience, toe should be 0 deg (yours is close enough at 0.01), caster +1 deg, and camber anywhere in the 0 to -2 deg range is generally acceptable as long as toe is set to 0. I have a buddy with an EF Skunk2 kit… I’m going to have to compare my “NEW” “DA” kit with his. The part that I was really skeptical about was the fact that my set that I just got looks way too much like the EF kit.
that’s what I was hoping for… more negative camber. got the teggy riding about 1" lower than stock and hoping to get about -2 camber on fronts . . :whip:
updates?
i may get this if its better than the EF kit
I recently installed mine and now I’m just waiting on an alignment and the snow to go away. Also just a heads up, I ordered mine through ebay (Skunk2 dealer) and they sent me DA front and DC rear upper control arms and the DC ones work and fit just fine. I was very concerned until I did a test fit on my car and found out there is no issue.
if you could post up your spec sheet once its done that would be sweet
Specs as requested
Front RightFront LeftRear RightRear Left
Camber*-1.0(Maxed)-0.04**-0.8*******-0.7
Caster1.82.3N/A*******N/A
Toe**0.010.010.03*******0.05
I actually scrape less now that camber is better. All in all great success lol.
I also got mine installed and alignment done I will post specs.
Any updates from those who have purchased and installed the redesigned model. I am sure that many of us are waiting to get some feedback before we make the buy. TIA
I’m interested as well for some feedback on the skunk2 kit. I’m looking to get some more camber out of the da9 for autox, but I’m not going to buy this if it’s junk.
Ok I have been slacking on getting my promised review done.
Short version:
They work great, I have used them now and put about 5k miles on them with no issues and alignment is still holding. The miles consist of Track time (road coarse) and street driving. I also should mention that I am using the energy suspension UCA kit.
up …anyone else have the NEW version of the skunk2 front camber kit
i bought mine but not installed yet still waiting on some bushings to get here, i chose prothane this time because my energy bushings were deteriorating
i will post up an alignment sheet once i am done

I have them. I’m slammed though so they hit my shock tower. I’ll probably just install the stock ones again and sell them
I understand why getting new bushings is important…does anyone have a link to the energy suspension ones? I don’t see something like that on their website…

Also…what’s the purpose of getting new bolts in addition to the bushings?
I dont see them on that page, but i do see them in the master kit.
Anyone else? Where can I get them without buying a master kit?
