Looking for 4 Point Roll Cage, Firesuit, Racing Seat and 5 pt Harness for Cheap

I am building up a 89 CRX for Auto Crossing and am looking to find all of the stuff above for cheap. Its my first year in it and I have looked and looked and have only came up with overpriced parts. Lets put it this way, I only spent $150 on the CRX. Any info woul be greatly appreciated.

Though none of that is required for Solo2, and you’ll find you’re the only guy wearing a suit, I certainly won’t stop you from increasing safety equipment. However, if you are going to go cheap, then you might as well not bother in my opinion.

4 point rollbar: Kirk or Autopower make rollbars and rollcages. Do not put people in your back seat with either. The suit, seat, and harness will vary in price depending on brand. Go to the RR/AX forum at Honda-Tech.com and do a search, you’ll find lots of stuff for sale and website/numbers of shops who are recommended.

If you’re looking for actual items for sale, sorry, I don’t have any.

Thankyou

Wasnt looking for actual items from anyone on here, just looking for places and numbers.

So dont bother with the fire suit then?

There’s nothing wrong with wearing a suit, but most don’t until they are road racing where it’s required. It will be a burden during hot HPDEs and autocrosses, but getting burned wouldn’t be a nice experience either.

Technically, you can do fine, without any of the stuff you’re asking for, but there is a very occaisonal roll in Solo2. If you’re getting the harness and seat then deefinitely get the rollbar or a cage. Can crush your neck/spine otherwise.

Is it your first year road racing period? I would get some autocrossing under your belt before u jump to solo 1. Thats what im gonna do. Get yourself a helmet and hit the parking lots.

He/she’s doing Solo2.

kirkey seats are cheap as hell.

definitely head on over to the honda-tech rr forum.

www.racerwholesale.com www.heeltoeauto.com etc.

unfortunately safety parts aren’t cheap unless used… just gotta suck it up and save up for the good stuff.
