Lots of problems any help is apreciated....

I got lots of problems and I would rather consolidate them into one post… Since most of it is transmission/engine related I thought this would be the best forum for it.

•Problem 1
When I go to shift into 2nd gear, sometimes it won’t shift at all, somtimes it grinds into gear (even with the clutch fully disengaged), and sometimes it actually goes in but I have to do it as if I wasn’t using the clutch. Any thoughts?

•Problem 2
When I start my car the enigne idle is at about 2k RPM, after about 5 mins or so it will drop to about 750-1200 RPM, but at the time it’s warmed up the engine is producing a completely different tone, and is also vibrating like a bastard. Any Thoughts?

•Problem 3
My wheels feel like the lug nuts are loose on the wheels, but there not. There sorta make a knock noise when I hit even the smallest bump, kinda like the wheel is going to fall off. Any Thoughts?

•Problem 4
When I go into reverse, it makes the most terrible sound, very loud and nasty winding sound. I do have a bad clutch and thats what I think the problem is for this one. Any Thoughts?

  1. probably your bad clutch… try double clutching to see if it helps…

  2. if it’s cold, it’s normal for the engine the rev higher and settle down afterward. The vibration could be caused by worn motor mounts or a too low idle.

  3. Check to make sure your wheels are well balanced and have the ball joints and tie rod ends checked, you’ll probably find one of them bad. The knocking sound is probably cause by a bad suspension part.

  4. Hum… winding sound? when engaging the reverse or when you’re actually going backward?
