loud rumbling noise when exhaust is wet

I own a 91 gs hatchback. I recently replaced my front exhaust pipe, catalytic converter and the middle pipe at a local garage. And now everytime i drive in the rain and hit a puddle my car vibrates badly and it sounds like thunder. After about a couple minutes the noise goes away. Then hit another puddle then rattles again badly. Is my catalytic converter the cause of this? Thats where it sounds like its coming from. Thanks

I get the same exact thing and I was really wondering what the cause of this is.
My exhaust note changes to a really deep, vibrating rumble everytime i drive in rain. The car drives fine, it’s just the exhaust piping seems to start shaking almost like water is getting in there somehow.

Ideas anyone?

It’s caused by rapid cool off, nothing to worry about. I did a little research on it since mine does the same thing. I used to have a test car. I drove it for a while to make sure it’s up to temp and then I spray water on the exhaust and va la, it started to raddle and got really deep. After a few mins. It stoped and everything was back to normal.
