I just installed Jdm 1pc headlights on my car but now my low beams are my hi beams and my hi beam is now my low beam. The foglights only turn on with my hi beam which is my low beam. Also the main bulbs in the headlights are different one is light blue and one is white. could that be the problem?
Check your wiring.
And no, two different colored bulbs is not the source of the problem.
the color of the bulb shouldnt matter just switch the wires that connect to your bulb with each other switch the color ones not the back ones ther is a teg tip on this
will do thanks.
I checked the wires and everything seems to be correct i also have the password jdm harness on there. I still cant find the problem. Can anybody take a picture of their setup and show me what hi-beam/low beam looks like. My low beam which seems to be my low beam is bright but not to the point where is blinds anybody.
Its possible the password jdm harness has the high beam and low beam wires crossed. Check out the bottom the first post and make sure the wires on the password jdm harness are going from the end of the original plug to the right plugs on the bulb. If they are then there shouldn’t be anything wrong. Make sure you have H4H bulbs and now some weird crap from ebay. Also if they are some really cheap bulbs it could be an issue with those.
hey thanks. your advise worked the password jdm harness hi beam and low beam were crossed.
No problem man. Now lets hope when I get mine tomorrow they are wired correctly
yeah hopefully my lights come in tomorrow as well haha, nice to see it was something simple tho
The odds are you will have to switch the blue wires. I got mine yesterday and it was wired wrong as well. Way to go PWJDM!
have you guys reported this to pwjdm, you should let them know.
Nope I have not but I will right now.
mine that came with my lights were bnib and were crosswired as well so that will be 2morrows project along with figuring out why my drivers side won’t adjust up and down.
Yeah mine were BNIB also. I have emailed them and hopefully they find another 12 year old kid that can wire right
haha what did they say they gonna send you a new one or do anything for you not that this is a big deal i just gotta look at it and see how to pop the pins out to swap them around.
Very easy to do. You just need one of those time precision flat head screw drivers and you put it into the hole where the wire goes into the blue plug and pull it out lightly. PWJDM never got back to me about the issue either.
