Lowering my ride the right way

What do I need to lower my ride without prematurely wearing out my tires? I’ve been thinking of getting fnf type ones or some Monroe struts(lifetime warranty) with h n r springs.

What do you guys recommend ?

Thanks peace

Tire wear is dependent on your alignment, driving style/environment, and tire compound. Different coilovers, springs, or shocks aren’t going to make a difference (assuming similar ride height).

I’d suggest what any one else would suggest here…

get either Koni Yellows or Tokico Illuminas and the associated Ground Control springs for either setup…

both those combos will have lifetime warranty & offer you good drop options.

Now as far as dropping your ride… that is going to depend on how far you wanna dump your car. Typically you can go about 2.5-3" front and rear and not require camber kits and have major tire wear… beyond that you want camber kits front and rear.

Other things to consider are your CV axles. They are not technically designed to be driven on a dropped ride. the lower you go on OEM axles the harder it is on them & there is increased likelihood that they will start clicking.

As far as adjusting drop once you have the coilover springs installed, use the included spanners to adjust the ride height on once side, then count the threads and adjust the other side to the same number of threads.

Once you get the height you want get over to an alignment shop and get that done.

This. There are dozens of threads about lowering.
