Ok i picked this thing up last year it had a recent swap done 98 Ls with 80k on it, got it for like $600 cause my 98 civic was just a night mare had gone through 3 motors in 3 months and still wasn’t running right.

I had posted some pics before when i first got it started to attempt some rust fixing and honestly just gave up on it, i’m not a body man and have no patience for that shit so i have a few spots i sanded down and never covered back up :frowning:

i will probably sand them down again and just prime/flat black them to stop the rust but as far as smoothing and filling i just don’t care right now.

The goal is to pick up a new shell at some point this year so for now i don’t really care about the rot, onto the plans and parts search.

Since then i’ve replaced the distributor pulled the interior and cleaned it all out and fixed the trunk leak.

i also swapped the front struts out for DC with cut springs (i know ghetto but they wouldn’t go in and mine were blown)

i know all this is minor but all i could really do at the time.

Now the plans
Full suspension
RLCA
1 Pc headlights
pull the dash apart to do an LED swap cause all the dash lights are not working, except a couple in the cluster
fix passenger floor leak
fix window rattle/slowness
new cowl cause mines broke in half dunno how that happened
new dash bezel
armrest
new deck so i can use my damn iphone to play music
possibly new carpet once the leak is fixed

92-93 bumper swap
ps removal prob gonna do loop style
full tune up, plugs/wires, belts, maybe a water pump and timing belt gotta check the kid i bought it from usually always does this on his swaps so prob won’t need it.

basically its tax time and for once i’m spoiling myself hahaha. i’m looking at getting stuff that i can remove when i get a cleaner shell, this is why i’m not worried about anything body wise as i will probably even swap my tan/black interior into whatever i get since its still mint

i’d post pics of what she looks like right now but i live in ct and my black car is mostly white its embarrasing but the body is screwed any way haha

i’m looking for any info you guys have to offer, especially what brands to look at, i don’t have a ton of money but i’ve got a good amount, def want suspension and 1 pcs to start with i’ve researched it a bit and i don’t think i can afford koni/gc right now so next best thing on a budget?

Honestly tring to find a couple cars to part I need some stuff for my teg and I need to get my parts collection going again I sold all my stuff off last year feel empty garage syndrome haha

yeah i’ll post pics up this weekend, i waited on the last car i was gonna buy and got screwed so i’m going to check it out and if its remotely as nice as the kid describes i’m buying it, hoping to get it a bit cheaper cause he wants 3000 for it but we’ll see.

Well for theshort term gonna keep my da just got wheels and tires Toyota proxes 4 and ls meshes damn tires are expensive lol been awhile dice I bought wheels and tires seperate should of just bought some nicer ones with tires but oh well

and yes she’s filthy, damn new england winters haha. the surface rust is the start of repairs that got put on hold when it got too cold i’ll hopefully finish that shit up come spring or at least some of it anyway.

Looking for some input from you guys should I stick with these wheels and tires or go to a different tire or like 16s

The reason I’m asking is cause where I got them from I have a 30 day test drive if I want different tires or a wheel/tire combo from them they take the 530 I already paid and apply it as a credit so since I have one of the more expensive tires they sell I can get 15s with these same tires for like 250 or switch it up anyway I want

Nothing wrong with LS Mesh, and those are very decent tires. I would stick with em for now until you find something you really want, and focus on some of that other stuff you want to get done.

I agree with Eric. You already got them and they’re not all that bad… I would stick with them until you find some you really like and spend the moeny on that. In the mean time focus on more important things on the car.

I’m just not sure how I feel about the tires really lol like would some azenis be better for future upgrades I’m starting to think maybe a boost application in he future but idk I really bought these cause it was the only 205/50 they had in the store with out having to come back the next day

Couple updates:
got my koni/gc set up in, had to order new rear springs be cause the 550 spring rates i got are gonna be way to stiff for me. ordered up some 325s so should have a good ride with 375/325 springs

new bridgestone RE-11 tires little more aggressive than i anticipated but oh well we’ll go with it lol

added some yellow fog covers while i’m working on getting 1 pieces

picked up a 92-93 black bumper and a new steering column so i can replace my smashed ignition

fixed my pass floor leak i hope, its gonna rain for 4 days so i’ll find out the hard way i guess.

picked up a new cowl piece to go under the window just trying to find out where to order the rubber strip that goes between the cowl/windshield once thats ready i’ll have the windshield replaced cause even tho its only 6 months old it has a stress crack in the top corner already.

also ordered some Blox lca’s in purple. gonna order up a ES master kit i think since all my bushings are shot too.

the rest of my suspension parts should come in mid week so i can put all of it in i’ll take pics as i go.

not exactly what i was expecting, in pictures they look like they have more tread haha oh well they grip like hell: RE11

ST rear sway bar
ES master kit + motor mounts and a few others that aren’t included
possible camber adjusters at the very least new ball joints all around
some type of RTA fix maybe just some new DC trailing arms
new brakes all around and at least one new caliper depending how the other 3 check out
1 piece headlights if i can find a set lol
power folding mirrors
sunroof visor
rear hatch visor might settle for jdp version
some sort of front/rear strut bar

sure i’m forgetting a few things but i’ll add later, all of a sudden this car went from winter beater to massive project lol
