has anyone done it before? would it be pointless? im thinkin bout putting my ls tranny on a gsr motor and drop it in my DA, because im not trying to spend money on a tranny plus i think it would just be my commuter car. worth? na?
Sup bro u talkin bout usin ur ls tranny along wit the gsr motor, its coo man u can do it. U don’t need a diff tranny unless ur racing other cars it’ll be good if ur using it as a daily driver ull save on gas 5th gear u won’t be reving as high compared to gsr n b16 trannys. I’m the one who bought the exhaust from you n steelies from yah I’ve been thru a few motors using my same stock ls trany. I’ve had a b16 using the stock tranny. Although ull have some loss in torque, other than that ur gears will be shifting normal not quick compared to gsrs n type rs but it’ll be fun to drive. Right now my swap is b20vtec with ls tranny and its fun to drive. I’m not worry about shifting fast or racing other cars I rather be crusin on the freeway goin 75 at like 3500 rpm . Like u said if ur using it for a daily driver ull be good bro …
it makes no sense. if its a commuter car, then why swap a b18c? keep the ls tranny and either swap in another b18a/b or b20b/z. any vtec motor with a non-vtec tranny is complete waste of time unless u have 400+whp. don’t do it
