ls vs b20 swaped ek sedan

i got this kid in my area toying with me telling me how the b20 will have his cars in 14’s. he got a four door ek with a b20b swap and a intake and a muffler put on, not a catback system. i got b18a headers intake 2 1/4 exhaust. my times are 15.7s steady and he never ran at the track yet in his sedan. ever head of a 4 door ek swaped b20b running 14s,with basically stock engine? do you guys think he can hand it to me like he thinks he can.

How are we supposed to know. Go run him at the track and find out.

i was just asking for opinions and what not thats all but i was just asking b/c hes tryin to run for some cash and i aint gonna put 100$ on a race that i know ima loose .but if sum1 said that it would b close as hell i would throw the money up b/c i could use some extra money in my pocket

Man, if you really know how to race your car, you could beat a GSR in an LS. When it comes down to those types of motors, I think you could beat him no problem. Put the $100 down and just do it. Chances are if he loses he wont pay you anyway.

what do you think he hould run in that car im thinking he would run at least a 15.7 rite with me cuz its a 4 door but who knows but this ek is the 1 on honda techthat thinks hes gonna run low 14’s with a lightend fly wheelbut i dont kno but if u guys think i can get em ill put the money up…but im still stuck b/c im still experimenting with my car on shift points. when i run my car at the track i shift at 6500 rpms but i donno if that is to high b/c i did alot of seaching on this and i see that people shift at 55-6000 rpms. wheres the power usually drop off.

he will not break into the 14’s thats for sure.
You guys will have a good race. I would put the money down.
with those 2 motors its all up to the driver to win.

well tonite is race nite. going down to cecil county trackto run this this kid. ima put the money up. hopefully ill make a 100 off him. but befor i got im gonna change the oil and plugs and maby get some plug wires to. i think my friend is gonna video tape it so maybe tomarro ill show you guys the vid.

before you race him, lose all the extra weight your carrying, like that dual 12" subwoofer setup you got in the trunk. also put the spare tire, car jack, tools, stuff you might need on the road into a friends car. set the psi on your tires. and :burnout: i don’t know man…if everything is equal as far as driver goes, i think the b20b ek should take it.

he should take me even though he dont have nothing but a intake…i though the diffrence between the b18 and b20 is that the b20 has a lil more trq then the ls bbut hes a four door and has the full interior i have nothing but 2 front seats nothing in the back at all and i have a 4-2-1 header 2. 1/4 exhaust intake. but o well u win some and u loose some

well guys i got to the track last nite at about 9oclock and the ek was there …i asked what was goin ona and what times he had run b4 i got the and he said he couldnt get past a 16.2 , so of course the kid that says he could beat got his balls broke by me of course so then he left…so i just uumped up in line to fun and got paired up with another ek sedan. he had a ls crower 403s and a the 3 angle job port n polish n i was suprised he was runing a 14.5 but i pulled out a 15.6 which was a best time for me. heres my times

no i broke his balls cuz he couldnt break into the 15s but when i he wouldnt race me so he left cuz he was mad cuz he knew i was in 15s n he couldnt break em at all. thats how i broke his balls

No, I broke his balls because he couldn’t break into the 15’s, but then he wouldn’t race me. He got mad and left because I ran in the 15’s and he didn’t. That’s why I broke his balls.

well this kid talks trash on my car all day to people thinking his car is like his car is fastn i think he is funny b/c he raced my friend that has a dc2 and my friend beat him by like 2 cars and i just walk my friend in my car all day long but not many people think my7 car can hold its own b/c the engine in my car has close to 300k miles on it but yea i kno its alot but i needed a engine quick when i blew mine soo i got it for like 50$. but anyways i would like to get some feedback on my times which i posted above

a couple years ago i was at the strip with my gsr cx hatch and i went against a b20 4 door eg. he had only intake, 4-1 header, 2.5" exhaust, removed back seats, and he ran a 14.8 with a 2.3x 60’. He was basically glued to my back bumper the whole way. b20z’s can do 140whp, with a nice broad power curve, with only basic boltons.
