I searched and came up with nothing related. Anyone running LSV in their DA and still have a functional AC system? My car is completely stripped from its ac system. I will be taking a trip to the junk yard to to pull a complete system. Thanks in advance.
the compressor is attached to the block and the entire ac system has nothing to do with the head. even though there is no real question here, i will let you know that if you are using an ls block then get an ls compressor along with everything else and you will be fine…
OK cool, I read somewhere people saying they have to use a different compressor bracket?? Is that true?
I just thought LS = LS bracket. What’s the deal with LS compressor on LS block but different bracket with LSV
I’d recommend cross referencing part numbers to see what is the same and what is different between. The two (vtec and non-vtec models).
Www.AcuraOEMParts.com is a good source to check.
Being that you’re sticking with an LS block, as long as you pull the system from a 2nd gen Integra you should be fine.
All b-series blocks share the same AC bolt pattern, as far as I’m aware… so any of the brackets should be ok. But the pump may be 2nd gen specific.
The PS system is the one where people need to switch up the brackets when going LSV. The upper PS bracket is 2nd gen specific.

Definitely will pull an r12 system, I’ll just deal with the junk yard return for an exchange if anything with brackets. Thanks for taking the time to chip in info.
