I was just curious for those of you that have an ls/vtec what header did you use? I have a b16 head with a b18a1 bottom end. Can I use a b16 header without clearance issues or do I just stick with a b18 ls header?
your not going to be able to use a LS Intake Manifold, only the exaust
Im using a knock off SK2 and fittment is great. Im sure most people who are using a stock manifold are using the b16, but there also the b17 and if you fell like wiring up the secondary butterfly’s theres the type r IM
um…think that response was meant for a different post…but anyways…
i used a DC 4>2>1 header in the past, it fit just fine. i most recently purchased a hytech copy 4>2>1, which also fits just fine.
a while back, a friend of mine had a greddy ss B16 header that we tried on the engine, and it did not fit.
also, before i bought the DC, i tried a DC 4>1, which fit (barely). The tubes running under the oil pan were sooo close to touching the pan, however, that i did not feel comfortable running it. so thats when i just went with the DC421.
i’ve used jdm 4-1 and toda 4-2-1 both worked fine. on my lsvtec.
I noticed the lower tubes came close to the oil pan on my older b16 motor, but even after running it for close to 3 years, i had no problems.
I could learn to read with HEADER being the key term there, but that means I would have to go back to the second grade. I dont think thats gonna happen:angel:
Ive been running a DC 4-2-1 on a LS block for years now, no issues at all even after being transfered from a LS to a LS-V
