im lookin for some hp but most importantly reliability i know ts how good u biuld the engine but if i do it right with b16 oil pump,waterpump ,b16 head and use the right oil lines should i do it over a b16a1 i already have a b18a1 but i dont have the money to sleeve the block or balance it ,i would jus do stock bottom stock top w/some bolt ons and drive it real safe i wouldnt shift past 7,or jus go with the b16 i jus wana hit vtec and b18a1 head needs to much work to be a good power maker compared to b16 and vtec is the shit ,after seeing my feinds b16 i love vtec,thanks for listen to me rable about shit thats been written hella times i jus wana hear a reply from my exact queston lol
if you don’t want to build the bottom end or shift beyond 7k, just get a B16. A first gen B16 isn’t much more expensive than just a vtec head, and probably more enjoyable than a cheap LS/vtec that you are trying to keep reliable.
